He was laid on the bedroom bed, and a new round of blissful torment began.

Chu Muyun initially tried to play his part, moaning sweetly and seductively. Even when Lu Hanzhang flipped him onto his stomach, he eagerly accommodated. But as his strength waned and his voice grew hoarse, he could only lie there like a worn-out doll, his body manipulated into various positions.

The flexibility he’d honed through dance training now served a different purpose, his limbs draping languidly, his eyes rolling back to reveal the whites, and the tip of his tongue peeking out as he emitted short, mechanical whimpers—truly resembling a broken love doll.

He couldn’t remember when he’d passed out.

When Chu Muyun awoke, he was still nestled in the arms of the Wei Family’s Great King.

Lu Hanzhang was already awake, lying on his side and silently watching him with deep, calm eyes. Chu Muyun had no idea how long he’d been observed.

Chu Muyun leaned in and pecked Lu Hanzhang’s cheek.

“You didn’t go to work?” he murmured. “It doesn’t seem like the weekend.”

“I took the morning off,” Lu Hanzhang said, embracing him and returning the kiss. “I wanted to spend more time talking with you.”

No matter how intense their night had been, Lu Hanzhang could always wake up early. Even on the morning of his bipolar episode, he had tried to go to work as usual. After enduring unbearable pain, a social crisis, and emotional turmoil, he still showered and went to the office, arriving only an hour late.

Today was no different. He had woken up early again, but wanting to spend more time with his newly returned lover, he had taken the morning off. After their reunion yesterday, they had barely exchanged any serious words, their communication confined entirely to the bed.

“Mmm,” Chu Muyun murmured, his eyes curving into crescents as he gazed at Lu Hanzhang. His slightly long black hair spread across the pillow, framing his cheeks. His lips were vividly red, and his snow-white neck and chest were scattered with the marks of passionate bites and caresses, creating a languidly decadent scene. “How much do you remember?”

He hadn’t remembered much at all. Lu Hanzhang knew his answer would disappoint Chu Muyun, but he told the truth anyway.

“Just a little. I remembered you dancing for me in red robes.”

“Is that so? It’s alright, you’ll remember everything eventually.”

“Mm.” Lu Hanzhang asked, “What kind of relationship did we have before?”

“It seems you had a crush on me first. Later, I fell for you, too.” Chu Muyun watched his expression. “Don’t you believe me?”

“…I believe you.” The passion Chu Muyun had stirred in him during their first encounter hadn’t been a lie.

“Really! I’m telling the truth!” Chu Muyun said with a sly smile. “You were… so amazing last night. I could barely keep up.”

“Was I always this… skilled?”

“Yes…”

Chu Muyun leaned in for another kiss, his voice soft and inviting, “Let’s do it again… Great King?”

Their heated breaths intertwined, and before long, Chu Muyun was once again pinned to the bed, his moans echoing through the room.

Finally, Chu Muyun, his mind still hazy, reached for his phone on the bedside table and mumbled, “Ugh… Boss, no more.”

“Why no more?” Lu Hanzhang tightened his arm around Chu Muyun’s waist, pulling him back into his embrace.

“You haven’t eaten yet. I don’t want you going to work on an empty stomach. You never eat during work hours anyway,” Chu Muyun said earnestly.

“Alright,” Lu Hanzhang replied, his heart softening instantly. He kissed Chu Muyun tenderly, his eyes filled with affection. “Let’s get up and eat.”

In the Lu Clan’s Human Resources Department, the Human Resources Director stared silently at President Lu Hanzhang’s attendance record for the month. Previously, he had been a model of dedication, never taking a single day off and maintaining perfect attendance month after month. This month, however, he had taken four half-days off for personal matters.

Rumor has it he’s in a relationship? He even changed his WeChat profile picture. It seems the old saying is true: “Love only slows the speed of drawing your sword.”

According to company policy, personal leave was unpaid. She quietly noted, Lu Hanzhang, deduct 40,000 from salary.

Chu Muyun woke up, washed, and got ready.

Before sitting down for brunch, he went to tease the Crown Prince.

The coffee-colored Big Rabbit looked well-cared for by Lu Hanzhang, its fur sleek and glossy as it hopped around the house.

“Son, I’m back! Did you miss me?”

The Big Rabbit nudged against his leg.

Lu Hanzhang, standing nearby, said, “Your son was a bit restless after you left, so I got him a companion.” He picked up a small white rabbit from its hutch. “This one’s called Princess.”

When he placed the white rabbit next to the coffee-colored one, the two rabbits seemed quite affectionate, snuggling together and rubbing against each other’s fluffy fur.

“Uh, you do know rabbits can breed, right?” Chu Muyun couldn’t help but point out. “If we don’t separate them, we’ll be overrun with rabbits in a month… The lawn will be covered in litters!”

“I know. That’s why Princess  is a male rabbit.”

Chu Muyun was stunned, “?? Why would you name a male rabbit ‘Princess’?”

Lu Hanzhang fell silent for a moment, unable to come up with a good reason. Instead, he pulled Chu Muyun into his arms and kissed him fiercely.

When Lu Hanzhang finally released Chu Muyun, the latter’s body was limp, his breath ragged, and his mind still reeling from the kiss. He had completely forgotten to ask why Lu Hanzhang had called him Princess.”

Lu Hanzhang led him by the hand to the dining table.

After breakfast, only after Chu Muyun repeatedly assured him that he would behave, did Lu Hanzhang finally relent and take him to work.

President Lu was quite busy. He had taken the afternoon off yesterday to pick up Chu Muyun from the airport and another half-day today, leaving a backlog of work and several meetings to catch up on.

While Lu Hanzhang worked, Chu Muyun sat nearby, scrolling through his phone. He read fan comments, browsed explicit stories on the forum, and secretly snapped photos of the working President Lu. Using a photo editing app, he added dog ears to the pictures, then swapped them for large, orange-striped cat ears.

Hehe.

He played with me in bed, now it’s my turn to play with him~

When it was time to go home, they left together. Before getting into the car, Lu Hanzhang gave Chu Muyun a meaningful look, his eyes dark and enigmatic. Chu Muyun’s legs instantly turned to jelly.

Tonight would surely bring another storm.

Good… I can’t wait.

These past few days, Chu Muyun had been living the high life at home, indulging in a life of luxury and extravagance.

He was so thrilled he almost wanted to keep Lu Hanzhang as his personal male model.

Hehe.

Could those who paid for male models possibly be having as much fun as he was?

When his manager, Jin Ming, called suddenly, Chu Muyun felt a pang of anxiety. Was he going to push another variety show on me? Didn’t he promise I could rest for a while?

“I ran into Liang Qing at a dinner last night and we had a chat,” Jin Ming said, his excitement barely contained. The director’s name was indeed a household name.

“Liang Qing wants to make a historical palace drama about Emperor Wu of Yu and Consort Chu, and he’s looking for writers. It’s still in the planning stages, and he’s scrambling for funding, so filming probably won’t start for at least a year. But this is a huge opportunity for you! A national-level director, a massive budget, and a serious historical drama—if it’s done right, it could win awards. I recommended you to him and showed him your classical dance from Dance Storm. Liang Qing was incredibly impressed and kept saying you were exactly the Consort Chu he’d been looking for. He said he’d wait for your schedule if necessary. You should start preparing now—research the historical background in your spare time. You’re perfect for the role. Let’s aim for an award-winning performance! This would give you a truly impressive work to your name.”

Chu Muyun seemed tempted, but he ultimately declined.

“I’m sorry, I can’t accept.”

“Why not?” Jin Ming asked, puzzled. Chu Muyun had always been cooperative with his arrangements before.

Chu Muyun knew Consort Chu was a perfect fit for him, but this was the one role he couldn’t take. When acting in romantic scenes with others, he could convincingly portray deep affection and emotional vulnerability, but he always remembered it was just acting. The moment the director yelled “Cut!” he could instantly detach himself from the character.

But Consort Chu was different. His feelings for the Great King were too real, too profound. He couldn’t bring himself to portray them with anyone else.

Sensing Jin Ming’s reluctance to let it go, Chu Muyun knew he needed to give a more convincing explanation to avoid further persuasion.

He couldn’t reveal his time-traveling secret, so he simply said, “Everyone has a certain ideal in their heart. If I were to play Consort Chu, there could only be one Emperor Wu of Yu in the world—no other actor would do. That’s why I can’t accept.”

“Who would you want to act with?” Jin Ming asked.

No actor, not even an award-winning one, could resist the allure of such a prestigious role.

“Someone outside the industry,” Chu Muyun replied. “He wouldn’t agree to act.”

“Alright,” Jin Ming said with a hint of regret. “Let me know if you change your mind. I promise, this is a real shot at an award.”

“Bai, I still stand by my opinion.”

Sometime later, news of Liang Qing’s fundraising efforts spread. A gossip account picked up the story and launched an online poll: “Who would you cast as the Tyrant and Enchantress?”

Though clearly riding the trending topic, the poll went viral, drawing votes from far beyond the entertainment circle.

Chu Muyun stumbled upon the poll on Weibo. He only voted for the Tyrant, choosing “None of the above.”

His fans flooded the comments under his retweet with question marks.

[Remember that time you got relentlessly targeted by certain fans? You really don’t care who plays the Tyrant, do you?]

[Chu Chu, are you a Martial King fan?]

Chu Muyun replied: [Yes.]

[I knew it! That guy’s Martial King was so cringe-worthy, no wonder you’re roasting him, hahaha!]

[Chu Chu, we’re kindred spirits! I also think the Martial King was handsome and devoted, but his ending was so tragic.]

Chu Muyun was surprisingly active in the comments. He replied to the previous comment: [There was a glimmer of hope.]

[Ahhh, Chu Chu replied to me!]

[Chu Chu, I voted for you as the Demon Consort! You’re perfect for the role, you’re practically the character incarnate!]

Chu Muyun didn’t vote for the Demon Consort candidate next door, but he still kept an eye on the voting results. Initially, his votes far surpassed the others, putting him in a clear first place. Many people posted his red-robed stage photos in the comments, declaring him the perfect Demon Consort, and their posts garnered numerous likes.

However, just before the voting deadline, a Traffic Male Star suddenly unleashed a massive “Ghost Army,” causing his vote count to surge inexplicably. On the final day, he overtook Chu Muyun to claim the top spot.

Chu Muyun smiled when he saw the final results.

I came in second in the “Who Resembles Me Most” poll.
