Hello everyone!

For those wondering about updates, I've moved my work over to FenrirRealm, and all future releases will be posted there.

If you enjoy my work, please consider supporting me >here< instead, as my work on this site might be gone without advance notice.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Schicksal’s forces in the Oceania branch weren’t particularly strong. To be precise — what was actually located in New Zealand was just a sub-branch of Schicksal’s Oceania branch. The main body of the Oceania branch was located in nearby Australia.

Although the failure of the Gem of Desire implantation experiment and the transfer of the test subject Wendy to a New Zealand sanatorium had increased the number of guard Valkyries at the New Zealand branch somewhat.

But unfortunately, for Cocolia who had come prepared — it was completely insufficient!

In view of the failure of her last operation, this time she had specifically mobilized nearly half of her assets — using Titan troops produced by her foundation, the Russian Heavy Industries Group, to launch a surprise attack on the New Zealand branch.

“Hmph, Schicksal is nothing more than this.”

In the central control room of Cocolia’s Anti-Entropy warship, Cocolia, dressed in a dark green military coat, looked at the progress at the New Zealand branch and revealed a mocking, disdainful expression.

Under her Titan forces, Schicksal’s Valkyries were completely no match for the Titan troops — after all, the Titans were designed from the beginning to face those powerful Honkai Beasts head-on.

Basically, one Titan was equivalent to an entire squad of regular B-rank Valkyries.

Without specialized anti-mechanical weapons, low-cost Valkyrie units had no way to deal with these specially treated iron lumps.

“The New Zealand branch is basically garrisoned by B-rank Valkyries. Naturally, they find it difficult to resist your Titan forces.”

Gray Serpent’s hoarse voice sounded from the side.

B-rank Valkyries had a hard time fighting against Titans. Only by reaching A-rank and equipping specialized weapons could they pose sufficient threat.

But in reality, A-rank Valkyries were quite rare within Schicksal as well.

Except for Schicksal headquarters, which had slightly more, the number of A-rank Valkyries in each Schicksal branch could be counted on one hand. Like the Far East branch, which was the weakest branch, had only Himeko (Theresa wasn’t counted in the roster).

The Oceania branch ranked relatively high among Schicksal’s branches, but it wouldn’t have more than 5 A-rank Valkyries either.

As for the New Zealand branch… heh, only one.

That was the 4th Herrscher vessel — Wendy herself.

Unfortunately, due to the Gem of Desire experiment, this youngest A-rank Valkyrie who had hoped to become the 4th S-rank Valkyrie had crippled legs and ended up having to retire sadly, staying in a Valkyrie sanatorium.

If following the original setting — that certain fool would probably have to take full responsibility for this matter.

“How is the Oceania branch headquarters?”

Cocolia showed no good face toward Gray Serpent, asking coldly.

According to the agreement, the Anti-Entropy forces led by her would be responsible for becoming the main force attacking the New Zealand branch.

While World Serpent would be responsible for delaying the Valkyries from the nearest Oceania branch headquarters.

“Heh heh, don’t worry. They’re already too busy to care about this place.”

Gray Serpent didn’t mind. Their relationship was one of mutual exploitation from the beginning. He chuckled lightly, his hoarse voice carrying some disdain.

To ensure this plan was foolproof, even while still in hiding, World Serpent had invested part of its strength to ensure the implementation of the plan to seize the Gem of Desire.

For this, he directly used the incomplete Honkai Beast transformation drug that Jackal had created by referencing Previous Era MANTIS technology, sacrificing one Gray Serpent body to directly deploy an Emperor-class Honkai Beast, Assaka, in the urban area of Australia.

Although the incomplete technology made this Assaka far weaker than the one that appeared in the Second Eruption, even an incomplete Emperor-class Honkai Beast was enough to keep the Oceania branch Valkyries overwhelmed.

Gray Serpent changed his tone:

“However, merely seizing the Gem of Desire isn’t enough.”

“Are you going back on your word?!”

Cocolia’s voice was as cold as ice.

What they had agreed on was merely that Cocolia would obtain and hand over the Gem of Desire, while Gray Serpent would bring back her daughter Seele, who had fallen into the Sea of Quanta.

“No, no, no, this is merely a small change.”

“Although the Gem of Desire is indeed my objective, the current Gem of Desire is somewhat lacking.”

— In reality, gems that hadn’t been activated by a major Honkai eruption were incomplete.

Although they still possessed Herrscher powers, all their attributes were lower than Herrscher cores that had been baptized by major Honkai eruptions.

Originally, Gray Serpent only needed the incomplete Gem of Desire.

Waypoints and Honkai energy supply — these were what he sought from the Gem of Desire.

Regarding the Honkai energy supply, since he had pre-ordered Chiyou, it didn’t matter if it was a little less.

But the bad news he had just received from Misteln forced Gray Serpent to slightly modify his plan.

He had to make up for what Chiyou was missing from the Gem of Desire.

“I hope you will create a major Honkai eruption in New Zealand.”

The hoarse voice rang in her ears, causing Cocolia to fall into a long silence.

Only after Gray Serpent left did she sigh.

The major Honkai eruption she had plotted in Nagazora City — she had indeed done it with the selfish desire to master Herrscher power equal to the sovereign.

But afterward, Cocolia had somewhat regretted it.

— Especially since Sin had also begun to object to her methods.

And now…

“No matter what, I must make amends for it.”

Recalling Seele’s smile and thinking of Bronya, Cocolia’s eyes became resolute.

No matter how many more sins she had to commit, she wanted to make up for the mistakes she had made in the past.

For Seele, for Bronya… for herself, it was just a major Honkai eruption…!

As long as she completed this deal, Seele could come back, and Bronya would definitely be very happy. By then, perhaps they could return to that harmonious orphanage of the past.

“Beep beep beep~”

A communication came through.

Seeing the source of the communication, Cocolia showed an excited expression.

The source of that communication was none other than — Bronya.

Through the communication was that exquisitely familiar little face. Whether it was an illusion or not, Cocolia felt that at this moment, Bronya had returned to that period before the experiment began, when they lived happily in the orphanage. But she subconsciously ignored this point. Although her mood was very pleasant, she still deliberately maintained a serious, cold expression as she inquired of the girl on the other end of the communication:

“Bronya, where are you now?”

“I’ll be there soon.”

“Mm. Very good.”

“Wait…”

Hearing this form of address, Cocolia felt something was strange. “Why aren’t you referring to yourself as Bronya anymore?”

“Bronya has grown up. Bronya has decided not to refer to herself as Bronya anymore.”

The response full of childish tone answered Cocolia’s question, also making the latter stunned, then laugh out loud.

“That’s good too. Daughters will always grow up.”

— Although she was a scumbag who had put control chips in her daughter’s brain, Cocolia, who truly regarded Bronya as her daughter, really felt some joy as a mother watching her daughter grow up.
