Fu Manman had no idea what Fu Qiang was thinking. She simply attributed his behavior to a peculiar temper and firmly believed he was her biological younger brother.

“Whether you call me ‘sister’ or not, I am your sister,” Fu Manman said, reaching out to ruffle Fu Qiang’s large head.

This brother of hers was fierce and quite stubborn, but his stubbornness had a certain cuteness to it.

“You… what are you doing! Get your dirty hands off me.” Fu Qiang took several steps back, escaping Fu Manman’s clutches.

This wretched woman! How dare she touch my head! Despicable! What an utter humiliation!
Even if she hasn’t been entirely unpleasant along the journey, there are some grudges I will never forget.

Before I kill her, I must find out where the Divine Artifact is and get my things back.

“Sis, just tell us, where did you find the Divine Artifact?” The adorable Fu An blinked his innocent large eyes, looking at Fu Manman with immense expectation.

Second Brother was bullied into fear by Big Sis; his attitude was normal. Fu An was used to it, and frankly, he was also quite afraid of Big Sis.

“Then first, you tell me, what is the Divine Artifact?” If they didn’t explain this “Divine Artifact” clearly, how was she supposed to cover her lies!

Fu Qiang shot Fu Manman a discreet, annoyed glare, then said, “On the Sheng Continent, for hundreds of years, there have been legends of Divine Artifacts. Many used to say they were just myths, but some claim they are real—remnants from a world beyond. The Tianqi Pavilion is an organization dedicated solely to searching for and studying Divine Artifacts across the land. It’s said they hold many secrets about them, but the Tianqi Pavilion is far overseas, detached from worldly affairs, so many still believe the Divine Artifacts are just legends. However, in recent years, it’s rumored that the Zhongli Clan of Nanling and the Huangfu Clan of Beiyang—two great families—have both discovered ruins of Divine Artifacts. Using secrets from these sites, they’ve recruited soldiers, strengthened their clans, and are contending for supremacy over the realm. So, in Tiansheng, there’s a saying: ‘He who obtains the Divine Artifact, obtains the world.'”

……

Fu Manman was so shocked her jaw nearly dropped. Holy crap!
So, this world was called the Sheng Continent, and the place she was in was probably the nation of Tiansheng!
There was actually a place detached from the mortal world, specifically researching Divine Artifacts! What a formidable organization!

This world was a bit fantastical!

Hearing all these incredible legends suddenly made Fu Manman feel that her own rebirth as an outsider wasn’t so strange after all!
She didn’t know how similar this world’s civilization was to Huaxia’s, or if there would be opportunities for her to showcase her talents in the future.

But for now, she could borrow this legend of the Divine Artifact to cover up the secret of her space.

“What kind of things are in these Divine Artifacts? What has the Tianqi Pavilion found from them? Do you know?” Fu Manman continued, curious.

What if the things found in the Divine Artifacts don’t match what I can take out from my space? That would be hard to explain away.

“No one knows. Aside from the Tianqi Pavilion and those who have truly witnessed the contents of a Divine Artifact, no one knows what’s inside. But… the things you found must be from a Divine Artifact, because I’ve heard that items from Divine Artifacts are extremely rare in this world,” Fu Qiang stated with certainty.

If these things weren’t from a Divine Artifact, then what could be?

Fu Manman let out an understanding “Oh,” then clicked her tongue in amazement. “How miraculous. So, my luck was so good I stumbled upon a Divine Artifact.”

An expression of naive delight spread across her face. From now on, I can openly take things out of my space.

The Divine Artifact legend came at just the right time.

“Sis, hurry up and tell us, where did you find the Divine Artifact? Let’s go look now; maybe we can find a lot more of that delicious noodles!” Little foodie Fu An was still thinking about the taste of instant noodles.

Fu Qiang also watched Fu Manman with shining eyes, waiting for her answer.

Fu Manman wore a troubled expression. She stood up, looking around at the vast forest. She couldn’t even tell north from south here. How were they supposed to find some Divine Artifact?

“I don’t know. It was already dark that day. I was just looking everywhere for a place to hide when I suddenly slipped and found these things under an old tree,” Fu Manman fabricated.

I absolutely must find a way to get into my space, grab more food, hide bits of it around the forest, and then pretend to stumble upon it accidentally.

That way, it won’t raise any suspicion.

Upon hearing Fu Manman’s words, Fu An and Fu Qiang felt a wave of disappointment, especially Fu Qiang. His eyes dimmed, and he walked to the side, gazing up at the sky. How could he believe this wicked woman’s words?

She’s so foolish. How could someone like her possibly find a Divine Artifact, something so sacred?

Those who discover Divine Artifacts are saints!

The sage from the Tianqi Pavilion, the first to discover a Divine Artifact, is now revered as a Holy Teacher, respected by monarchs across the land.

And Fu Manman… she was simply unbearable to look at. It was utterly ridiculous.

……

The discussion about the Divine Artifact ended, and everyone was hungry.

Fu An looked at the wolf meat, drooling. “Sis, I’ll go cut some meat and wash it by the river. We can make soup later.”

“Mm, get plenty. I want to roast some too.” Fu Manman was craving roasted meat. She’d never tried roasted wolf before!
There was also a packet of chili powder from the noodles that would be perfect for seasoning the roast.

“Alright!” Fu An cheerfully went off to prepare the meat.

Fu Qiang, as usual, went to gather branches for the fire.

Soon, the water boiled. Fu Manman first filled the thermos flask with hot water, then started preparing the formula. This time, it wasn’t just Little Maodan who needed milk; the tiger cub needed some too.

She mixed a bowl of formula for the little tiger and set it aside to cool.

“What are you feeding Maodan?” Fu Qiang asked warily, eyeing Fu Manman.

“Maodan is my own brother. You think I’d poison him?!” Fu Manman frowned, displeased.

This brat, what kind of look is that? What kind of tone?

“Stinky little brother, from now on, don’t question your sister’s actions. Would I really harm you?” Fu Manman shook off her second brother’s hand and continued feeding Maodan.

Fu Qiang blocked her again. He didn’t believe Fu Manman’s words. She was a malicious older sister who had sold their sister and had once tried to abandon their youngest brother.
Even though she seemed different now, he still didn’t trust her.

“You… this child! I’m feeding Little Maodan milk! This is milk inside; it’s drinkable.” Fu Manman was truly exasperated. This second brother was far too guarded against her!
Why is this child so distrustful of me?

Fu Qiang looked at the metal can beside her.
He stared at the strange symbols on it, unrecognizable. He opened the lid and sniffed. There was a fragrant smell, unlike anything he knew.
He had never drunk milk before and didn’t know what it smelled like. He only knew the white powder in this can smelled sweet.

“What is this?” he asked, looking curiously at Fu Manman.

A metal box containing white powder made him think of flour, or perhaps… ashes.
Clearly, it was neither.

“I… I don’t know either. But I tasted it; it’s edible, and really tasty. Mixed with water, it’s especially good to drink. It’s perfect for Maodan, almost like milk,” she described the formula simply.

Fu Qiang didn’t fully believe Fu Manman. He dipped his finger into the powder and touched it to the tip of his tongue. It was a bit sweet, a bit… delicious!
