Blessed Girl From a Farm Family: Surviving the Famine With Space - Chapter 28
The little bundle in the blankets suddenly began to cry and wail—it was time to eat; he was hungry.
Fu Manman took out the milk powder from her bundle. She didn’t plan to hide it from these two brothers anymore. They would find out sooner or later anyway.
Fu An’s eyes fell on the can of milk powder, and he asked curiously, “Sis, what is this?”
“This… I found this too.” Aside from this excuse, she couldn’t think of any other reason.
Fu Qiang walked over and noticed several other items, his curiosity piqued. He picked up two of them, looked at Fu Manman, and asked, “Did you find these too?”
Fu Manman raised her head to look at this brother. Well, well! This brother wasn’t bad-looking at all! With his face cleaned up, he was actually quite handsome—especially his eyes and eyebrows. He had high eyebrows, deep phoenix eyes, and a tall nose bridge. He was just too thin, and his complexion was sallow and dark.
If he were properly nourished and his skin cleared up, he’d grow up to be quite a looker.
Both brothers were good-looking, so why was she so… rough?
Fu Manman complained inwardly but put on a sincere and earnest expression. “Yes, I found them all last night.”
…
Fu An’s face lit up with delight, while Fu Qiang remained stern. He didn’t doubt Fu Manman’s words. In fact, he strongly believed her. The items in his hands clearly didn’t seem like things that could exist in this era. For example, this cup was exquisitely crafted with beautiful animal patterns. No pigment in this world could produce such vibrant colors, and they didn’t fade.
Then there was this smooth, strange bag with tantalizing images of food—so realistic it was as if a bowl of noodles was right in front of him.
It was incredible!
“It’s a divine miracle…” Fu Qiang exclaimed excitedly, an unusual gleam of excitement flashing in his eyes. “These must be things from a divine miracle.”
“Brother, are you saying divine miracles really exist?” Fu An’s eyes also sparkled with excitement.
Fu Qiang held up the items in his hand, overjoyed. “This is the proof! Divine miracles really do exist. So it wasn’t just a legend after all.”
He happily carried the items over to Fu Manman. “Hey, where did you find these?”
If he could locate the divine miracle, he would gain the means to challenge the world and avenge his wrongfully killed parents.
Within Fu Qiang’s small frame, immense energy now gathered.
Fu Manman raised an eyebrow. Divine miracle? What nonsense was this?
She noticed the joy on Fu Qiang’s face and wondered—could it be that items like these weren’t considered strange in this world? Maybe they were even connected to some so-called divine miracle!
Well, well… how interesting. Suddenly, she felt intensely curious about this world.
“Hey, who are you calling ‘hey’? I’m your sister. Call me ‘Sis,’ you brat. From now on, don’t speak to your elder sister so disrespectfully.” Before satisfying her curiosity, she had to educate this always-stern little punk.
“You’re not my sister,” Fu Qiang retorted, shooting a disdainful glance at Fu Manman.
Did she really think he’d call her “Sis”? Dream on! This wretched, nasty woman—he would never let her off. She had bullied him, beaten him. He would never forgive her.
Whenever he recalled his amnesiac period, when he truly believed he was the second son of the Fu family, fleeing famine with them, living in constant fear—Fu Manman would often lose her temper because there wasn’t enough food and take her anger out on him.
She hit him, scolded him, and her strength was freakishly immense. She had even bitten a chunk of flesh from his arm, nearly killing him—all because she blamed him for taking an extra share of the family’s food.
She wanted to devour his flesh to make up for her loss.
During those days, he endured immense suffering. Believing he was a member of the family, he tolerated it all.
Now that he had regained his memories, he was determined to seek revenge. Everyone who had ever humiliated or wronged him would die!
Especially this Fu Manman!
