This dream lasted for a long time. By the time Li Nuo opened his eyes, daylight had already filled the room.

When he finally sat at the dining table, he was still in a daze.

This time, more memories had returned, but the most crucial part stopped on the day before his transmigration. He still had no idea how he had ended up here.

“Hah—” Li Nuo sighed soundlessly.

However, it was unlikely that he came here for no reason, and correspondingly, he probably wouldn’t leave without a reason either. This thought reassured him.

He truly liked this place. For once, he had a family that genuinely cared for him.

Around ten in the morning, a convoy of vehicles drove into the villa courtyard.

A man stepped out from the lead car. The moment he saw Li Nuo standing in the corridor, his eyes lit up, and a bright smile appeared on his face. “I’ve come to pick you up.”

It was none other than Mo Chuan.

He walked forward and stopped at the bottom of the steps. “Won’t you give me a hug?”

Seeing the anticipation in his eyes, Li Nuo pursed his lips and cast a meaningful glance at the group of men in black emerging from the car. The message was clear: too many people, not here.

With a few hand signals from Mo Chuan, the well-trained men instantly dispersed to both sides, disappearing from Li Nuo’s sight.

The corner of Li Nuo’s mouth twitched, but he still stepped forward and opened his arms. Before he could even touch Mo Chuan, the man grumbled, “Too slow.”

Without hesitation, Mo Chuan reached out and scooped Li Nuo up. Due to the difference in elevation, with Li Nuo standing on the corridor steps, he was lifted by the waist, bringing them face to face. Mo Chuan tilted his head up to look at him. “Did you miss me?”

His eyes sparkled with excitement.

Li Nuo reached out, covering Mo Chuan’s eyes with his hand, and replied softly, “Yes.”

Mo Chuan’s smile widened as if he had just obtained the greatest treasure.

When Li Nuo withdrew his hand and looked at him again, his expression was one of disdain. “You look absolutely ridiculous when you smile like that.” He struggled slightly. “Put me down.”

Mo Chuan obediently set him down but immediately took his hand, striding up the corridor and leading him into the living room. Only then did he say, “Can we leave tomorrow instead?”

“Huh? Why? Weren’t you here to pick me up today?” Li Nuo asked, puzzled. But after a moment’s thought, he understood. “That makes sense. You all traveled a long way, so you must be tired.”

Mo Chuan puffed out his cheeks in frustration. “They all got to stay here with you, but I never did! And this is my house!”

His tone was so aggrieved that Li Nuo instantly got goosebumps.

He shook his hand, trying to pull free, but Mo Chuan held on tight.

“Oh no, you’re rejecting me?” Mo Chuan turned his face away, looking utterly pitiful, as if he were about to burst into tears.

“I already said yes. Stop being so dramatic.” Li Nuo slowly revealed a smile. “Besides, I happen to have something to ask you.”

A chill ran down Mo Chuan’s spine for some reason.

But soon, the excitement of being alone with Li Nuo overshadowed any other thoughts. “Last time, I only got to spend less than a day with you. Will you keep me company today? Also, I never got the chance to look around after this place was renovated. This is one of my family’s ancestral homes, after all.”

“Oh? So your family used to live here?”

“Yeah. My parents lived here when they were kids, but later, the whole family moved abroad. This place was left as a memorial,” Mo Chuan said, glancing around with a nostalgic expression. “It doesn’t look exactly like the photos my parents showed me. It was rebuilt once.”

“You’ve never been here before?”

“I have, but only a few times and I was really young back then.”

As they wandered into the greenhouse, Mo Chuan looked around. “Do you like it here?”

“I like it. The gardener takes really good care of this place.” Li Nuo glanced at him sideways. “But you already knew that, didn’t you? I come here almost every day during the day.”

He pointed at the ever-present surveillance cameras and gave a sarcastic smirk. “What? Not satisfied with watching the security footage? You had to come and ask me in person?”

Mo Chuan’s smile stiffened. He quickly leaned in to explain, “That’s for your safety. Look, what if something happened to you in the greenhouse? We’d be able to respond immediately.”

“Oh? Is that so?” Li Nuo sneered and extended his hand. “Give me your phone.”

Mo Chuan took out his phone and handed it over. “What’s wrong?”

He was a bit confused about why Li Nuo suddenly wanted his phone.

Li Nuo took his hand, pressed his fingerprint on the sensor to unlock it, then effortlessly navigated to the photo gallery.

Mo Chuan’s expression changed instantly, and he reached out to snatch the phone back.

But Li Nuo turned away, merely glancing at the screen before letting out a few chuckles and returning the phone.

“You have way too many pictures of me on your phone, you pervert.”

Mo Chuan cleared his throat awkwardly, quickly tucking the phone into his pocket. “I wasn’t… I just wanted to look at you.”

Now that he had been caught, he decided to own up to it boldly. “I can’t sleep without looking at your picture before bed. And when I’m self-satis—mmph—”

Before he could finish, Li Nuo slapped a hand over his mouth, his face flushing with embarrassment and frustration. “You… shameless!”

Mo Chuan blinked innocently before kissing the palm covering his mouth.

Startled, Li Nuo quickly withdrew his hand, a strange warmth lingering in his palm. His expression was complicated. “You weren’t like this before.” At least, not this… perverted.

Mo Chuan held his hand again, pressing soft kisses to his fingers. “Baby, you’ll have to get used to it. Whenever I see you, I just become like this.”

Li Nuo allowed him to hold his hand but gave him a warning glare. “Don’t call me that.”

After a pause, he asked another question. “I heard it was your idea for me to live here. Were you trying to lock me up?”

Regarding this question, Mo Chuan showed no sign of panic. Instead, he stared at him intently, his gaze blazing. “Yeah, if I could, I’d really like to lock you up somewhere only I can see you, so you’d belong to me forever.”

In an instant, Li Nuo was reminded of the novel he had revisited in his dream the previous night. Mo Chuan was never really a good person to begin with, so he wasn’t all that surprised, just…

“Don’t use those kinds of tactics on me.” He pulled his hand back and waved it in mild disdain.

Mo Chuan, unwilling to give up, wrapped his arms around him. “I know you don’t like it, that’s why it’s just a thought.”

“You’ve basically already acted on it, haven’t you? This whole villa is proof,” Li Nuo rolled his eyes at him.

“Mm, let’s not talk about that.” Mo Chuan sensed that continuing this topic wouldn’t work in his favor, so he smoothly changed the subject. “I really missed you, so I’ve been working like crazy lately. Give me a little reward, won’t you?”

Li Nuo looked up at him. Mo Chuan blinked innocently. “What? Is there something on my face?”

“No, I’m just trying to see how thick-skinned you are,” Li Nuo pinched his chin and turned his face left and right. “Is your job’s funding coming from me? And you’re asking me for a reward? Shouldn’t you be asking Brother Qin instead?”

Mo Chuan rubbed his cheek against Li Nuo’s hand. “If it’s not from you, I don’t want it from anyone else.” He lowered his head slightly, his breath warm. “Can I do what I did last time?”

Li Nuo glanced at the surveillance cameras, then tactically leaned away. “Not here.”

Mo Chuan immediately took him by the hand and led him away, heading straight to Li Nuo’s room.

On the way, they passed Aunt Zheng, who was carrying a tray of tea. Mo Chuan called out, “Aunt Zheng, just leave it there. I’ll come down and drink it later.”

Although he was clearly eager, he kept his pace measured to match Li Nuo’s.

Aunt Zheng smiled as she watched the two go upstairs, feeling reassured. “Looks like everything’s fine now. No need for me to say anything more.”

As soon as they entered the room and before Li Nuo could steady himself, he was pushed up against the door. Mo Chuan raised a hand to cradle the back of his head, while the other arm wrapped tightly around his waist, and without a word, he kissed him.

Li Nuo hesitated, then reached out to wrap his arms around Mo Chuan’s neck, letting him kiss him freely.

In the silence of the room, only their increasingly heavy breaths could be heard.

They kissed for a long time before Mo Chuan finally pulled back slightly, catching his breath and suppressing the urge to go further. He gently lowered Li Nuo’s left hand from his neck and glanced at his watch. Thankfully, the heart rate wasn’t too high.

Li Nuo kept his eyes closed, breathing slightly erratically. When he sensed Mo Chuan’s movement, he also glanced at his own heart rate.

Mo Chuan leaned his forehead against Li Nuo’s. “You’ll get used to it eventually.”

Li Nuo opened his eyes, looking a little resentful. His eyes were slightly red at the corners, which immediately stirred Mo Chuan’s suppressed desires again.

Unable to resist, he bent down to kiss him once more. Li Nuo gripped his shirt tightly, and when Mo Chuan finally drew back a little, he couldn’t hold back anymore and coaxed him in a soft voice, “Baby, open your mouth, okay?”

Li Nuo was a little dazed from the kisses. When he heard those words, he obediently opened his mouth, and Mo Chuan immediately sealed it with his lips.

This time, the kiss was truly forceful and dominant.

Li Nuo felt overwhelmed by the intensity of his demands, and his strength drained, relying entirely on Mo Chuan’s arm around his waist to stay upright.

The kiss lasted several minutes. The only sound in the room was the kind of intimate noises that could make one blush.

It wasn’t until Li Nuo, struggling to bear it, began pushing weakly against him that Mo Chuan finally let go, allowing him to recover from the breathless state.

The person in his arms had been thoroughly ravaged. His face was flushed, his lips a vivid red, and he leaned against Mo Chuan, panting softly. Mo Chuan’s heart melted into a puddle. He kissed Li Nuo’s forehead and lowered his voice to ask, “So, baby, does this mean you’re accepting my confession?”

“……”

“Baby, let’s date. Be my boyfriend.”

“……”

“I’ll treat you well. I won’t let you suffer, and I’ll never let you be sad.”

Mo Chuan whispered into Li Nuo’s ear, repeating words like “I like you,” and “Let’s be together,” and occasionally kissed him as he spoke.

Li Nuo lowered his head, wondering to himself why he liked this person. He really was persistent to the point of being unbearable.

If it were anyone else, it wouldn’t be so difficult. But it had to be Mo Chuan.

After thinking for a while, Li Nuo finally looked up and said softly, a little troubled, “Then let’s start with a secret relationship.”

He was afraid Li Yan wouldn’t accept it for now, and he didn’t know how to handle things with Qin Xu. It would be best if that side could just give up.

Now it was Mo Chuan’s turn to fall silent for a moment. “A secret relationship?”

Li Nuo nodded earnestly. “Yeah, like how celebrities date. Let’s not go public for now.”

After thinking it over, Mo Chuan accepted it. “That works too.”

He had thought this confession would be rejected again, but to his surprise, it had been accepted.

If it had to be a secret relationship, then so be it. Either way, they were together now.

“This is actually kind of exciting,” he said, stroking his chin. “Feels like an affair.”

“…Do you even know how to use metaphors properly?” Li Nuo was speechless.

“I do. Whether it’s an affair or a secret romance, I’ll do anything you want, except break up.”
