“Swoosh————!!!”

A swift slash attacked the black steed, and the red-haired youth on its back immediately counterattacked.

“Clang————!!!”

After the clash, the opponent immediately distanced themselves from Mordred.

“Hey, you always dodge and avoid fighting. Don’t you have the pride of a Heroic Spirit?”

Mordred shouted discontentedly.

“Sorry, my teacher told me that when facing opponents who like direct combat like you, I must gather enough information before resolving the battle in one go.”

The red-haired youth said so.

“You keep calling your teacher, teacher. I bet that so-called teacher of yours is trembling outside the battlefield right now. You, who were taught by a coward, are nothing more than a useless person.”

Mordred directly chased after him and swung her sword, but it was still blocked by the opponent.

“Do you think that can anger me?”

The red-haired youth on horseback retaliated with a short sword.

“But indeed, I probably have a good grasp of your strength now.”

The red-haired youth directly pulled the reins on the black steed, leaped into the distance, and then raised the short sword in his hand.

“It’s about time for my teacher to witness my growth. Come on, Bucephalus!”

The black steed let out a loud neigh.

“For the place I shall reach one day! Now is the time…for me to take my first step – The Beginning of Trampling Conquest (Bucephalus)!!!”

As if in response to his words, lightning fell from the sky!

With this lightning, the red-haired youth, with a determined expression in his eyes, rode the black steed with iron hooves and rushed towards Mordred!!!

“Oh? Finally, you’re not going to be a coward?”

Mordred revealed a satisfied smile.

I haven’t been using my full strength until now, and the opponent probably underestimated my abilities.

With determination, she tightly grasped Clarent and began infusing it with a large amount of magical energy.

“Crimson Thunder!!!”

As she called out, the red lightning formed by magical energy should have surged on her armor, but there was no reaction?!

However, the opponent’s attack had already arrived before her.

Mordred was forced to swing her sword directly towards the red-haired youth in front of her!!!

“Clang————————!!!”

At the moment of impact between Clarent and the red-haired youth’s short sword, Mordred slid backward.

“————————?! ”

Unlike before, the short sword in the opponent’s hand seemed to possess tremendous strength!

The magical energy on Mordred couldn’t smoothly transfer to Clarent, as if it was restricted by something invisible.

“Damn, is this some kind of barrier?”

Mordred gritted her teeth and persevered, while the opponent tightly pulled the reins, causing the black steed to exert force and lift its hind legs, raising its front hoof imbued with lightning power high towards Mordred!!!

“Sorry, there’s a barrier set up in advance by my teacher. You have no chance of winning.”

Just as the black steed Bucephalus was about to bring down its iron hoof.

“Clang————————!!!”

A swiftly approaching figure directly blocked the strike.

“Mashu?!”

After seeing the girl standing in front of her, Mordred exclaimed in surprise.

“Ha————————!!!”

Mashu exerted force with both hands, stubbornly blocking the red-haired youth and his beloved horse on the side of her shield.

Seeing a new enemy approaching, the red-haired youth immediately pulled the reins, creating enough distance for safety.

“Sorry, we arrived late.”

Bai Qiu arrived at the scene and helped up the suppressed Mordred.

“Are you okay, Mordred?”

“Master, why did you come too? I’m fine, just a minor problem.”

Mordred defiantly tightened her grip on Clarent.

“Master, wait for a moment, I’ll deal with this guy first.”

“No, Mordred, we must retreat now.”

Bai Qiu immediately said, “A Bounded Field has been set up here, and you can’t unleash your full power.”

“Bounded Field? No wonder something felt off,” Mordred furrowed her brow.

“And the enemy’s main force is about to arrive. Let’s leave here first.”

They were almost at the agreed-upon three minutes.

“Master, that woman seems to be over there. Aren’t we going to save her?”

Mordred looked towards the location where Jeanne Alter was before, but she realized that the enemy was nowhere to be seen.

It seems Reines has taken care of that side.

“It’s okay, someone else is helping her.”

“Someone else?”

Mordred was slightly puzzled.

“We’ll talk about that later.”

“Senpai, this way!!!”

Mashu used her shield to push back the soldiers who were surrounding them, and Mordred and Bai Qiu returned through the weakly defended path.

The red-haired youth who watched the group leave didn’t immediately chase after them.

“The enemy has been completely defeated. King, please allow us to pursue them!!!”

“No need.”

The red-haired youth waved his hand.

“My teacher said, ‘Do not pursue a desperate foe,’ and even if they temporarily escape, they cannot change the current situation of this country. If we leave them alone, they will reappear.”

“Report!!!”

Suddenly, a soldier wearing a light helmet hurriedly arrived and came to the side of the red-haired youth.

“Report… Lord Strategist… he… seems to have betrayed!!!”

“What? Teacher?!”

The red-haired youth widened his eyes in disbelief and muttered to himself, “There must be a deeper meaning behind this from my teacher. Perhaps it’s a strategy to lure the enemy.”

Then, the handsome red-haired youth looked towards the place where they had parted ways with the teacher before.

……………..

“Too slow!”

Waver, sweating profusely, watched as Bai Qiu, Mashu, and Mordred retreated.

“My Noble Phantasm won’t hold up much longer!!!”

Faintly, he could see small folds appearing in the space in front of him.

“Sorry!”

“Come on, let’s retreat this way!!!”

Waver immediately set off with Bai Qiu and the others, running quickly towards the nearby forest. As he ran, he activated inconspicuous stone piles on the side of the road with his feather fan.

“Reines and the others have already gone ahead, and your black Servant is making too much noise! She kept clamoring to go back and find you, but in the end, Reines had to use some means to quiet her down.”

“Well, I’m very sorry…”

Bai Qiu could imagine the scene of Jeanne Alter throwing a tantrum, so he could only apologize.

“Ugh, I can’t believe I’m forced to join your camp. How did it come to this?”

Waver’s complexion became even more haggard as he thought about these troublesome matters.

“For now, let’s find a temporary hiding place. We can discuss the rest later.”
