Anchor, Stop Pretending, You're in Chaldea - Chapter 46
Orleans, inside the castle.
In the cold palace, most of the areas are filled with darkness, occasionally accompanied by eerie and chilling strange sounds.
Under the flickering candlelight, the chains of a prison cell suddenly melted and broke, and a girl with dragon horns walked out from inside.
“Seriously, summoned to this era without knowing anything, and finally captured and locked up. Where did this tragic princess come from?”
The girl with dragon horns, dressed in a kimono, held a dragon-patterned folding fan and complained incessantly.
“Since the owner of this palace is not here, let’s take this opportunity to escape.”
She continued to grope forward along the dark corridor.
Crack!
Suddenly, something resembling a long stick tripped her directly to the ground from the darkness.
“Ouch!!!”
The girl in the kimono fell forward suddenly, and her dragon-patterned folding fan flew out of her hand.
“Ouch… that hurts…”
As she turned her head to see what had tripped her, laughter suddenly came from the room beside her.
“Hahaha, you’ve been tripped by my tail, you perverted stalker who imprisoned me without any explanation!!!”
Surprisingly, it was the voice of a girl of about fifteen or sixteen years old.
“Indeed, someone like me is a bit too dazzling no matter where I am. I can understand why someone would want to possess me, after all, I am so charming. But! To be locked up in a place like this, it’s simply a crime, a crime!!!”
The figure in the room became extremely smug.
“You just lie there on the ground like a foolish thing… Ah, it’s hot, hot, hot!!!”
Suddenly, a burst of fire erupted from the darkness, directly spraying onto the iron door of the prison.
“Do you want to burn me to death? You stalker!!!”
The girl inside shouted in dissatisfaction.
“You dare call me a stalker? You, you want to provoke me!”
The girl in the kimono suddenly spewed flames, her face filled with anger.
In the light of the fire, the girl inside finally saw her face clearly.
“On closer inspection, you don’t seem to be the weird guy who captured me. That person was wearing a strange robe and didn’t look like a good person.”
“You tripped me so casually, and you call me a stalker? You’ve already touched my reverse scale!”
Saying that, the girl in the kimono prepared to spew flames again.
“Wait… wait a minute! You’re not the accomplice of that weird guy, are you? In that case, we’re the same, both captured by him and brought here.”
The imprisoned girl waved her hands repeatedly, hastily explaining.
“Oh? You were also captured?”
“Yes, I don’t even know why I was summoned. I don’t even have a manager, and I was planning to perform live in the city. Who knew I would be trapped by a weird person using strange magic and then locked up.”
The girl inside the cell said with a grievance.
“That’s the same as me…”
After hearing the other party’s encounter, the girl in kimono reluctantly calmed down.
“Well, since that’s the case, I’ll let you out. Just stand back a bit.”
Then, the dragon-patterned folding fan opened, and fierce flames spewed out.
“That should do it… Hot! Ah, that’s enough! Stop! Are you still holding a grudge about being tripped by me earlier? I apologize, I apologize!!!”
After a moment, a large hole melted through the iron door of the prison cell.
And the girl who escaped from inside leaned against the wall of the corridor, panting heavily.
“Huff… Did you really want to kill me just now?”
“Oh dear, how could that be?”
The girl in kimono covered her smiling mouth with the dragon-patterned folding fan.
“Because the prison door was too sturdy, so I had to use a little more force.”
“You did that on purpose!”
The girl who escaped from the prison cell finally revealed her true appearance under the dim candlelight.
She was wearing a gorgeous Lolita-style dress, predominantly in red and black, resembling an idol.
On her red hair were a pair of dragon horns that didn’t seem like mere decorations, and a dragon tail could faintly be seen behind her.
“To express my gratitude for saving me, I shall give you my name.”
She proudly raised her head as if introducing herself.
“Listen well, for I am Elizabeth Báthory, forever a 14-year-old idol Ojou-sama!”
Finally able to introduce herself, Elisabeth smiled and looked ahead, but the girl in kimono who should have been in front of her was nowhere to be seen.
“Hey, where did you go!”
Realizing the other party had already walked away, Elisabeth hurriedly caught up.
“This is the enemy’s stronghold. How long do you plan to foolishly stand here?”
The girl in kimono seemed solely focused on escaping.
“Well, then tell me your true name too, aren’t you also a Servant?”
“Why should I casually tell you my true name?”
“Huh? But I just told you a moment ago!”
“That wasn’t something you should have said.”
The girl in kimono pondered for a moment.
But since they were planning to escape together, having an additional companion wouldn’t hurt.
“Fine, my name is Kiyohime.”
Though somewhat unwilling, the girl in kimono revealed her true name.
“It doesn’t sound like a name from Europe, but as fellow escapees, let’s take care of each other, Kiyohime!!!”
Elisabeth showed a radiant smile.
The two girls ran ahead together and soon arrived at the end of the corridor.
Right in front of them was a tightly closed door, but it was no obstacle for them. As long as they opened this door, it seemed that the hope of escape lay ahead.
“Ah, we can finally escape from this damn place. It’s not even as good as my Charité, clearly showing that stalker has no taste.”
Just then, Kiyohime suddenly sensed something amiss and grabbed Elisabeth’s arm, pulling her over.
“Wait!”
Swoosh————————!!!
A dark-colored object, resembling a whip, flew directly towards the unguarded Elisabeth’s back!
“Boom!”
A blue flame burst out from the folding fan!
“Squeak——————!!!”
The whip-like object twisted in pain within the blue flames, emitting a strange cry. It became clear that it was a thorny tentacle.
“Come out, you hiding in the darkness.”
Kiyohime turned back and shouted towards the depths of the dark corridor.
“Commendable, you’ve actually discovered my presence. It seems I underestimated you.”
Suddenly, Gilles de Rais appeared in the corridor, holding a peculiar book.
“Ah, he appeared, the stalker who’s been following me!!!”
Elisabeth shouted in dissatisfaction.
“My apologies, I’m just following the orders of the Dragon Witch to capture the escaped fish.”
“Now I understand why I was summoned.”
Kiyohime looked at the Caster in front of her and spoke.
“It must be to stop your plans, right?”
“Correct!”
Gilles de Rais laughed, but his smile was exceptionally terrifying.
“She said I could dispose of you as I pleased. So let me see if you can really escape from here, little girls.”
