“Klunk, klunk—!!!”

The giant white snake of bones burst out of the sea over and over again, surrounding the dilapidated ship. With one more gentle touch, the ship would surely fall to pieces.

“Yaaagh!”

Tsubaki had been bitten by one of the snakes. She exerted her strength with both hands to pry open its jaw and then used Epitomizing the Stars (Seishinkatadoru Kyuuenkyou) to focus the scorching rays of sunlight on the surrounding snakes of bones.

But Himiko had used up much of her Mana, and the mirror’s attack had only pierced the skull of one of the giant snakes. The other was still coming at her.

“Nngh…” She strained to keep herself upright, struggling against the snakes’ attacks. She looked helplessly at the ferry rocking in the whirlpool.

If this went on, the ship would be…

Suddenly, silver light erupted from the deck.

As the waves surged and the bones of the giant snakes scraped, the aura on the deck grew stronger and stronger.

“Crunch—!” The giant snake opened its gaping maw and lunged at the deck.

“Thud—!” There was a deafening crash.

Himiko closed her eyes in despair, unable to bear looking at the ship.

“Crunch, crunch!”

After a moment, the bone snakes that had launched a fierce attack from the sea all stopped moving.

It was as if everything had come to a standstill.

“Crunch—!”

Another bone snake burst out of the sea, moving with impossible speed as it headed directly for the ship.

In an instant, a beam of light struck the bone snake’s head. The bones shattered to pieces upon impact.

As the smoke cleared, a tall figure appeared on the deck.

“Hydra, a pitiful Demon Beast. You are no match for me in this Trial.”

A man with black hair and a muscular build blocked the attack from the bone snakes, appearing in front of Bai Qiu.

Next to him, the giant white bones broke apart one after another, then disappeared into the sea.

“My apologies. I leave things to you now,” Bai Qiu said to the man before him.

“Leave it to me, Master. I have a deep connection with this Monster Snake.”

The tall, black-haired man stared at Hydra’s skull. Then, a sturdy bow appeared in his hand, which emanated a constant flow of Mana. He drew the bow, and an arrow inlaid with feathers from a strange bird appeared on the string.

“Bang, bang—!”

As he drew the bow, his muscles tensed, and a massive flow of Mana coursed through him like lightning.

“—?!” Medea, who had been working to suppress Draco, immediately sensed the energy. She looked down, and shock filled her face.

“Impossible! This familiar Mana… It’s Heracles?! This man is actually responding to the summons?!”

A second later, the entire air began to vibrate.

Swoosh!

A beam shot out from the deck and pierced the sea surface, heading directly for the bone Hydra!

The water before it was struck clear, leaving a streak of light in its wake!

The bone Hydra showed no sign of resistance as it was hit, and its entire body exploded with a loud boom.

The controlled body of the Hydra disintegrated into a cloud of white dust, which fell into the deep sea.

The recoil from this attack shook the entire ship.

“Ohhh, my god, Mr. Ambassador, that Heroic Spirit isn’t going to destroy the ship, is he?!?!”

Xu Fu clung tightly to Bai Qiu’s thigh, staring at the man exuding pressure in front of him in shock.

“… Probably not.”

Bai Qiu stared straight at the tall, muscular man before him.

He stood over two-and-a-half meters tall, his body like a statue sculpted by the gods. His muscles and blood seemed to brim with pure Mana.

Just being stared at by him would probably cause someone to be paralyzed by the sheer pressure of his presence.

As soon as this Heroic Spirit’s magnificent form appeared on the live stream, the chat exploded.

“Holy shit, Berserker!”

“Everyone, stand up!!! Who doesn’t have a little bit of Heracles in them?”

“Units, take notice—our combat unit is online.”

“I knew Berserker would show up eventually if Hydra showed up.”

“Heracles doesn’t want to talk to you, but he did toss a spinning Lancer at you.”

“Cú Chulainn’s dead again. This is so inhumane!!!”

“That can’t be Berserker-class Heracles, right? That bow in his hand has to be Nine Lives.”

“He can communicate with us. It probably isn’t Berserker, then.”

“System message: ‘Magic Girl Illidan’ sent a Starry Sky Rocket!”

“Message: ‘Basakar is the strongest!!!’”

“System message: ‘Justice’s Partner’ sent a Golden Cruise X2!”

“Message: ‘My ribs hurt, does anyone know what’s going on? Urgent, please help.’”

——–

The Greek mythological hero Heracles.

The unit of power everyone was familiar with, Berserker

But this time, he had been summoned as an Archer.

Have I really summoned an incredible guy…?

“Special Envoy, what should we do next?”

Xu Fu was completely at a loss and could only look at Bai Qiu, who he was clinging to for dear life.

Bai Qiu crouched down and dug through the pile of miscellaneous items, finally pulling out a bowl of seemingly still-hot mapo tofu.

“Do you want to eat some of this to calm down a little?”

“Huh?!”

Bai Qiu ignored Xu Fu’s shocked expression and looked up at Medea and Draco, who were in the air.

After eliminating the skeletons, Hydra also noticed the two in the sky.

Then he drew his bow again, aiming at them.

“Heracles, our enemy is Medea, not the one next to her!” Afraid that Heracles would take Draco as an enemy, Bai Qiu quickly explained.

After hearing Bai Qiu’s words, Heracles shifted his aim slightly to the left.

“Understood.”

Bai Qiu couldn’t help but wonder if Heracles had been trying to hit both of them with one arrow.

Draco was currently using Alterego’s Saint Graph, but she still retained her beastly aura.

I’ll find a way to explain it to Heracles later.

“Ah ha—!!!” The sealed Draco suddenly burst with all the Mana she had built up.

Cracks spread across the seal as the energy expanded to its limit.

“Crack, crack…” The cracks continued to spread across the seal, and it looked like she was about to break free.

“… Tsk…”

The bone Hydra had been eliminated, but another enemy had appeared. Medea bit her lip, and several fireballs formed behind her, ready to bombard the trapped Draco.

Swoosh—!!!

A beam of light shot straight toward Medea.

“—?!”

In the next second, Medea had disappeared from Draco’s side and reappeared a distance away.

“Ngh…”

Blood dripped from her left hand. Even though she’d used a teleportation spell, she hadn’t been able to avoid the arrow completely.

“An arrow made from the feathers of the birds of Styx Lake…? Dammit, Heracles!” Even though her left arm was useless, she raised her wand with her right hand and pointed it at Draco.

She gathered all the magic power in her body into the wand, and dozens of magic formations appeared behind her. Her robe billowed out behind her like wings.

With a command, those dozens of magic formations merged into one enormous green magic formation!

“Corycian! Words of Divine Mage Formula, Bride of Ashes (Hecatic Graiae)!” With a brief incantation, she unleashed a massive spell.

The compressed Mana particles formed a powerful beam of light that shot toward the imprisoned Draco.

“Bang—!”

At the same time, the Bounded Field that had held Draco was destroyed.

“I’m going to kill you!”

The freed Draco’s eyes glowed even more fiercely as she used the force of the explosion to charge straight toward Medea in midair.

She blocked the attack Words of Divine Mage Formula (Hecatic Graiae) with her Holy Grail, and the black fog overflowing from it wrapped around her, protecting her from harm.

After a moment, Draco reached Medea, shoving Words of Divine Mage Formula (Hecatic Graiae) aside, and grabbed her by the neck with her dragon hand.

“Consider yourself lucky to die by my hand, you insignificant piece of trash.”

“Heh heh… Even if that’s the case…I can’t sully the Magecraft I inherited from the goddess Hecate…”

Suddenly, she pulled a small purple dagger from her robe.

“Show me your true colors, you pathetic beast!”

She lunged the dagger at Draco, who was completely unguarded.

“Rule Breaker!”

A nearly invisible attack hit Medea’s right hand and sent the dagger flying. Then a second arrow came screaming in from below.

Medea, who sensed it coming, closed her eyes in despair.

BAM!

Draco’s right hand sent the incoming attack veering off course, slamming into Medea and sending her flying.

“This one is my prey! Hands off!” Draco looked down with an arrogant gaze at Heracles, who was standing there with his bow.

Although neither made any further moves, it was clear that the two servants were not going to get along.

“So, how shall I torment thee, Magus of the olden days?”

Draco tightened her grip around Medea’s neck, relishing her shrieks.

“Hey, Draco!”

Bai Qiu stood on the deck and yelled into the sky.

“It’s all right, come back first!!!”

Upon hearing Bai Qiu’s call, Draco licked her lips.

“You’re right. If no one else gets to enjoy your pitiful state, it won’t even count as a punishment. That would be too boring.”

Then, Draco pulled Medea along as she stepped onto the phantom image of Bestia Coccinea below and returned to the swaying deck.

“Draco, are you all right?”

Bai Qiu rushed to check on Draco’s condition as soon as she landed.

It seems like C-Minus just pulled out his “I don’t even feel tired after jerking off” card.

“Fool, how could such a laughable Magecraft possibly harm me?!” Draco said disdainfully, then tossed Medea aside.

“Still, I won’t let this Magus of the old world die so easily. I won’t be satisfied until I’ve drawn a pained scream from her.”

“Hold on, I want to ask her a few things.”

Bai Qiu walked over and began interrogating the defeated Medea.

“You’re Medea, right? Why did you summon Hydra to attack the ship, and why did you plan to have me arrested?!”

This Singularity was too strange, so it would be best to gather some intel first.

In response to Bai Qiu’s questions, the injured Medea laughed uproariously.

“Ha ha ha, I never expected humans to mix with beasts!”

Swoosh—!

Draco’s tail lashed out like a sword!

“Draco, wait!”

Bai Qiu immediately called for Draco to stop attacking.

“Don’t be so reckless, weakling,” Draco threatened, her scaled tail stopping right in front of Medea’s neck. “I can end your life at any time.”

“Even if I told you, it won’t change anything.”

Medea looked at Draco, showing no fear.

“More like the end of this world is already inevitable. It’s just a pity I can’t personally pass judgment on ‘that person.’”

Medea’s expression was one of defiance.

“That person?!” Bai Qiu immediately thought of something and spoke up. “You mean Jason?!”

“So what if I do? It’s none of your business.”

Medea’s lips were bleeding, but her face remained expressionless as she said, “No, if your goal is that Jason, then perhaps our goals are one and the same.”

Bai Qiu was stunned.
