“A new Heroic Spirit has appeared!”

“Xu Fu, huh, the famous con artist who tricked Emperor Qin Shi Huang with a fleet of three thousand ships.”

“In today’s terms, he’d probably be a project manager. Running away is quite normal.”

“What? Xu Fu is also a woman?!”

“Calm down, it’s typical for Type Moon.”

“This ship looks impressive. It has to be Emperor Qin Shi Huang; even the interior decoration is so exquisite and well-considered.”

…

Bai Qiu was momentarily stunned after hearing Xu Fu’s words.

Can’t leave this sea area? What’s going on???

“It seems you all are trying to leave this sea area too?”

Xu Fu let out a helpless laugh.

“Heh heh… it’s useless… no matter what, the ships can’t sail out of this sea area.”

“Why?”

“Because that thing exists. Ordinary Servants can’t possibly contend with it.”

Xu Fu, squatting in the corner with her knees hugged, spoke with a deathly pale face.

“That thing?”

Bai Qiu continued to ask.

“A sea monster, a sea demon, call it whatever you want. That kind of thing can swallow a whole ship in one bite.”

Seemingly recalling something painful, Xu Fu buried her head in her arms, looking dejected.

“Despite trying many routes, that thing would find us every time. My three thousand people are now down to just this one ship.”

“Ah, I don’t want to do this anymore. Why not just live in this village forever? After all, I always knew the Immortality Elixir didn’t exist.”

Seeing Xu Fu’s broken state in front of her, Bai Qiu gathered some understanding from her words.

It seemed that when Xu Fu was summoned, she brought with her the fleet of three thousand ships, maintaining the appearance she had when she told the Emperor she was going to find the Immortality Elixir.

Then, while sailing, they were blocked by some evil entity in the sea, and kept searching for a way out. But in the end, the fleet of three thousand ships was reduced to just this last one.

No wonder Himiko said this merchant ship comes regularly. It turns out they were trading the supplies given by the Emperor for provisions in the village.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through Bai Qiu’s mind.

When he had fallen from the sky into the sea, he seemed to have seen a huge dark shadow in the water.

But then Draco had thrown him to the nearby shore in an unnatural manner, and he forgot about it amidst the chaos.

Thinking back now, Draco must have already known what was in the sea.

“Do you know what sea demon Xu Fu was talking about?”

Bai Qiu immediately looked at Draco.

After all, even he herself can perceive it, there is no reason why she shouldn’t be able to perceive it.

“Oh? You’re only realizing it now,” Draco said with a slight smile.

“If it weren’t for me back then, that guy would have surely considered you, with your Command Seals, as a delicious snack, right? But you belong to me, how could I let that guy do as he pleases?”

Indeed, Draco knew about the existence of that thing in the sea.

“That creature’s aura is probably Hydra, for some reason appearing in these waters.”

After saying that, Draco looked at Bai Qiu’s face with great interest, as if wanting to see his reaction.

“Hydra?!” Bai Qiu was greatly shocked.

He vaguely remembered Hydra as the nine-headed serpent from Greek mythology, with each head regenerating immediately after being cut off, and even producing two more heads. The central head was said to be immortal.

But in the end, it became one of Uncle B’s accomplishments in the Twelve Trials.

Considering the appearance of those Lamia creatures around the village, there might be some connection to this nine-headed serpent.

But how did this thing end up here?!

Bai Qiu looked at Xu Fu, who seemed dejected, and suddenly remembered that Xu Fu had once complained to Zheng Ge during their annual work report, saying that a giant mermaid in the sea was obstructing their voyages.

Later, Zheng Ge dispatched archers to deal with this so-called mermaid, allowing Xu Fu to sail smoothly.

Could it be that this strange anecdote somehow attracted Hydra to come here?

“I don’t want to do this anymore, and you should give up too. With just this ship, there’s no way we can sail far. Moreover, the remaining supplies on the ship are only enough for less than ten days of food. It’s over, everything’s ruined,” Xu Fu said, looking completely defeated.

Suddenly, she looked at Bai Qiu.

“By the way, you seem to have a close relationship with the queen here. Why don’t you go and talk to her? Ask her to allocate half of the land, and I’ll bring all the craftsmen and resources from the ship. We can live peacefully as neighbors, what do you think???”

“…”

Bai Qiu felt somewhat powerless to comment.

She wanted to run away again, and every time, it seemed to involve Neon. Is this her destiny?

“I think it’s unlikely that the queen of Yamatai will agree,” after all, their relationship with Xu Fu’s fleet was only based on trade.

Sudden acceptance of so many people from the ship, relying solely on the crops grown in the village, would definitely not be enough to feed everyone.

“Is that so…”

Xu Fu buried her head in her arms once again.

“Ah, Emperor Qin, Xu Fu’s journey is about to end. I’m sorry for not finding the Immortality Elixir. I’m sure you won’t blame me, right?”

This pseudo-human historical figure, Zheng Ge, most likely wants nothing more than to tear you apart…

If you couldn’t find the Immortality Elixir, that’s one thing, but taking people with you as you run away is another.

These three thousand people and a large amount of resources were all obtained through the efforts of the entire country, and yet you just ran away.

But the immediate priority is to borrow Xu Fu’s ship and leave this area. As for Hydra…

Bai Qiu looked towards Draco, wanting to say something.

“Are you looking at me like that because you want me to deal with Hydra?” she asked.

“…Can I ask you for a favor?”

“Well, it’s not that I can’t, but why should I help you?” Draco replied, with an evil smile that didn’t match her current cute appearance.

“I’ve said it before, my goal is to see you die in despair or to have the desire to ‘save the world’ in Chaldea further my growth as a beast. The day I molt again will be the day Human Order disappears,” Draco said.

“For now, I will temporarily recognize you as my Master, but you have no authority to command me!”

Faced with Draco’s arrogant attitude, Bai Qiu felt a slight headache.

Since Draco was unwilling to help, it seemed that she would have to prioritize summoning a new Heroic Spirit.

“Oh? So this is what it’s like for a Servant and Master to interact. Human relationships are so troublesome,” Xu Fu commented, listening from the side with a troubled expression.

“Alright, I will try to communicate with the queen of Yamatai,” Bai Qiu said.

“Oh! Thank you so much!!!” Xu Fu exclaimed happily upon hearing Bai Qiu’s willingness to help.

“But if you want to communicate, you need leverage,” Bai Qiu said, signaling Xu Fu with her eyes.

“Leverage? You mean…” Xu Fu trailed off, understanding what Bai Qiu meant.

“It’s all about social etiquette. You know what to do if you really want to settle down here,” Bai Qiu said, looking at Xu Fu, whose expression was getting worse.

After a fierce internal struggle, Xu Fu finally gave in.

“Alright, I will provide some resources with the status of an audience with the queen,” Xu Fu said.

“Okay, I’ll leave it to you. If it’s too heavy, please have someone deliver it directly,” Bai Qiu replied.

Now that Xu Fu’s only desire was to settle down, she let out a sigh.

“I understand… Ah, I never thought that one day someone would ask me for things,” she muttered.

…

“Wishing to settle in New Yamatai? The people from the ship?” Himiko immediately refused in her room.

“That’s absolutely not possible. After all, this place is already small, much smaller than the previous Yamataikoku!!!” she exclaimed.

“…Can you stop saying that while eating other people’s food?” Bai Qiu said, looking at the queen who was holding a large bowl of white rice.

“Hmph, it’s because the sauce brought by these people on the ship is simply too delicious!!!” Himiko replied, taking another big bite.

Well, it is Chinese cuisine after all.

Even this doubanjiang sauce, which has existed since the Qin Dynasty, becomes rich and flavorful after careful preparation.

An unnamed Confucius once mentioned in the Analects, “I do not eat without good sauce.”

For the queen of Yamatai, the taste of this sauce is much better than what is produced in her village.

“I can reluctantly agree to let the craftsmen who make this sauce enter the village,” Himiko added.

Huff, it seems like it won’t work after all.

From what Bai Qiu could see, Himiko’s reactions so far were within her expectations.

Some supplies and seasonings cannot make Queen Himiko nod in agreement, but it is quite possible if she extends a helping hand.

“Oh, by the way, I also learned some important news from the ship this time.”

“Hmm? Is it something important?” Himiko asked while eating.

“I think I know where those Lamia near the village come from.”

“Ah!” Himiko immediately put down her bowl upon hearing the news.

“Do you know where that creature that causes pain when seen comes from?”

“While I’m not a hundred percent sure, it’s most likely related to the sea serpent with nine heads.”

“So, the one in the sea is a serpent.” Himiko seemed to have realized something.

“I know there’s something dangerous in the sea, which is why we don’t let the villagers go too far to the beach to look for clams.”

Then she lowered her head, as if pondering something.

“If those evil beings are under the control of that creature, as the Queen, I can’t just sit idly by.”

Saying this, Himiko suddenly looked up at Bai Qiu with a determined gaze.

“Could you please tell the captain of that ship that if they want to fight against the sea monster, I will help?”

“Sure, I understand.” Bai Qiu nodded.

“I’ll go now.”

“Alright, thank you~~~” Himiko picked up the bowl of rice once again.

“This black sauce is really delicious. Can you get some more from them? The rice we stored in the village has been used a lot, so it would be great if we could exchange it for something else.”

“Sure, I understand.” After nodding, Bai Qiu walked out of the house.

“I didn’t expect her to actually agree.” Just as Bai Qiu walked out, Draco, who was standing outside, spoke to him.

“After all, it’s about her own village. A queen who cares about her people like her would definitely not refuse, right?”

Bai Qiu then asked curiously, “Don’t you like this queen?”

“Hmph, a boring person like her who only wants to maintain stability and has no desires, I can’t feel anything interesting about her at all.” Draco finally expressed his opinion of Himiko.

“I see.” It’s true that Yamataikoku is not prosperous, so it’s natural for Draco to dislike Himiko.

“But even with the assistance of this queen, I don’t think we can defeat the sea serpent in the ocean.”

Indeed, Hydra is very different from regular Lamia. After all, it is one of the twelve labors in Greek mythology. Himiko alone would not be enough.

And Xu Fu is probably not going to be very useful in this situation.

Things have come to this point, and there’s no other choice.

“How exactly I need to do for you to help me, Draco?” Bai Qiu looked at Draco seriously.

With Draco’s assistance, everything would be foolproof.

The remaining livestream points can be used to unlock the extraction of Divine Spirit Servants.

If she refuses no matter what, then I’ll just use two guaranteed rolls to change my fate.

“Oh? What do you mean by that?”

“My goal is to repair the Singularity. In order to achieve that, I need to use Xu Fu’s ship, so I need you to help me. You can state your conditions, and I will do my best to fulfill your requirements.”

Looking at Bai Qiu’s gaze, Draco seemed to sense Bai Qiu’s determination and nodded in satisfaction.

“Very well, that’s the look I wanted! Your casual mention of ‘wanting to save the world’ has even made my horns grow a little. Since that’s the case, I’ll help you all a little.”

“————————–?!”

Bai Qiu was taken aback.

Is it really that simple?

But did she just say that because of her own reasons, her horns grew again?

Rounding it up, is she assisting the Beast to accomplish the Human Order???

“Your panicked expression is quite delicious as well. Hehe, try to make me feel your desires as much as possible. If you do that, I’ll keep helping you.”

Draco smiled and licked his lips, then walked straight towards Bai Qiu and her temporary residence.

Wait a minute! Don’t go like this! Otherwise, I won’t be able to explain it clearly again!!!

Watching Draco’s satisfied figure walking away, Bai Qiu couldn’t help but feel that something was off, but she really didn’t want to think about it.

Forget it, let’s go tell Xu Fu the good news first.
