“Oh, everyone! Today, we are preparing to march towards Rome!”

“We are about to challenge the mighty Roman Empire! But there is no need to fear, because I am the Conqueror King, and my army is the strongest!”

“This pride is the accumulation of the ambitions of all my past and future subjects!”

“Come, the time for our expedition has come!”

“Ohhhh!!”

“Yes, yes, yes!”

…

Early in the morning, Bai Qiu was awakened by the shouts of Iskandar.

“Senpai, you’re awake.”

Mashu walked over, her face filled with excitement.

“That Conqueror King is giving a speech before the expedition, it’s really exhilarating. Won’t you come and listen, Senpai?”

“I don’t need to…”

Bai Qiu rubbed his forehead and waved his hand.

After coming here, I haven’t been able to sleep well. I was awakened early this morning again, and I have a terrible headache.

“Hey, did my father and the Sea Demon fight with that guy called the ‘King of Heroes’? How did it go? My father definitely won, right?!”

Mordred kept pestering Waver with questions.

Oh… I hope Mordred doesn’t keep asking about the Fourth War and bother Waver like this.

“…Ah, Master, you’re here just in time. It’s about time to set off, right?”

“Kongming-san! Why do you look so pale?!”

Mashu looked at Waver with surprise.

“Cough… It’s nothing, I just talked to Mordred a bit about the past.”

Waver stared at his dark circles and walked towards the direction where the army was gathering.

“Let’s go, Rider is waiting for us over there. Mordred, we can talk about it later.”

“Oh? It’s already morning… Well, I’ll go ahead, you guys hurry up too.”

Mordred ran off into the distance.

Unlike the energetic Mordred, Waver was in a much worse condition.

It seems that pseudo-Servants are more susceptible to physical fatigue than ordinary Servants.

“Kongming-san, are you really okay? You seem a bit unsteady.”

Waver wiped away non-existent blood from the corner of his mouth.

“It’s fine, I used to be like this at the Clock Tower too…”

“Huh?! You used to be like this often?!”

Mashu was too surprised to find words.

“Good morning, everyone.”

Reines walked elegantly from the side, followed by her mercury maid who nodded at Bai Qiu and Mashu.

“Oh my, isn’t this Onii-sama? Why do you look so pale?”

Reines leaned towards Waver with great interest.

“…It’s all because you were instigating things on the sidelines yesterday!”

“It’s not my fault! Onii-sama always refuses to explain the details of that Holy Grail War.”

“Never mind… It’s time to gather, let’s hurry over.”

Knowing he couldn’t win against his younger sister, Waver stopped arguing.

Ah, poor Kong-sensei.

Once again, he was tricked by his own sister.

Shortly after, the group arrived at the meeting point, where Iskandar was waiting, arms crossed. When he saw Bai Qiu and the others arrive, he wore a bright smile.

“Oh! You’re here. Perfect, join me in battle…”

After his gaze landed on Waver’s face, he looked puzzled.

“Kid, what’s with that expression? Did you get into a fight last night?”

“…I wish it was just a fight.”

Waver frowned and spoke directly.

“But the way you look, it doesn’t seem good. Do you want to ride my Bucephalus together?”

“No need.”

“Really, you may not be the same small fry from before, but you still speak like a child.”

Iskandar sighed helplessly.

“Fine then, pretend nothing’s wrong.”

Iskandar then looked at everyone around him.

“We are about to head to Rome and rescue the rightful Emperor of this era. The upcoming battles will surely be more intense than before, so everyone needs to be fully prepared.”

He unsheathed his sword, the Sword of Seleucus, from his waist and swung it forward!

“Charge!!!”

The sky suddenly darkened with clouds, followed by a lightning bolt descending from above!!!

“Boom!!!”

After the lightning disappeared, a chariot pulled by divine bulls appeared.

“Oh! Is this the chariot dedicated to Zeus, the ‘Gordius Wheel’?!”

Suddenly, Dr. Romani’s hologram projected from Mashu’s wristband.

“I didn’t expect to witness Iskandar’s Noble Phantasm like this! Truly a rare sight.”

“Where did this small fry come from? Could it be that, just like before, he’s still a growing youngster?”

Iskandar questioned Dr. Romani’s projection with confusion.

“G-growing youngster? I can’t believe I’m being called a small fry by Iskandar, who was historically a small fry himself… It’s truly heartbreaking.”

Dr. Romani once again fell onto the table due to the blow.

“Please inform me in advance next time before connecting, Doctor.”

Mashu frowned and said to Dr. Romani disapprovingly.

“Sorry, sorry, I have something important to tell you.”

“Something important?”

“You’re going to Rome next to rescue Nero Claudius, right?”

“According to the plan, yes.”

Mashu immediately responded to Dr. Romani’s question.

“In fact, we have been monitoring the situation inside Rome. Since yesterday, there have been subtle abnormal fluctuations in Magical Energy. Although there were only a few moments of intense Magical Energy reactions, those few moments were even stronger than the reactions from the Demon God Pillars.”

“Doctor, are you saying that there might be powerful Servants in Rome, apart from Professor Lev?”

Bai Qiu asked immediately.

“Sorry… I’m not sure either. For now, I just wanted to give you a warning.”

“Hahaha, even if there are thousands of troops and horses ahead, we can only move forward, right?”

Iskandar said with a reliable tone while laughing.

“You’re right, worrying now won’t do us any good. But we will continue to monitor the situation inside Rome and inform you immediately if there are any new changes.”

“Yes, we’ll leave the reconnaissance task to you, shorty.”

“I’m not short! This is just a hologram!!!”

Dr. Romani’s words made Bai Qiu a little worried.

Based on what she knew, there should be Lev, the Divine Emperor Romulus, and Nero who was imprisoned awaiting execution in Rome. What could be stronger than Lev, the Demon God Pillars?
