It’s almost time to wrap up since there’s tomorrow too. Before calling it a night, Kachua pulled two bottles of probiotic drinks out of her small purse.

“Here, drink this.”

“That bag of yours really holds a lot, doesn’t it?”

“Yeah, it’s small, but it fits so much. I wonder if it’s some kind of magic bag.”

Jessica stared at the coin purse. “I think so. I can’t use the ‘Appraisal’ spell, so I don’t know for sure, but that magic tool has various enchantments. It has the functionality of a magic bag, plus anti-lost item features and waterproofing.”

“How do you know all that?”

“Well, just a feeling, I guess?”

“I see…” Kachua looked at the purse, completely clueless. It seemed she didn’t have any talent for magic. But anyway… “Thanks so much for today! Here, have one. I get one every day if I clear the daily mission.”

“Oh, how handy. But is it okay if I take it? What about the kids?”

When asked, Kachua shook her head. “These drinks contain iron and collagen for your skin, in addition to the lactic acid.”

The ones who needed these drinks weren’t Ed or Barbara, but people Kachua’s age.

The next day was a housework day, so she stayed home all day, and the day after that was Kachua’s porter job.

After completing her usual daily tasks, Kachua received her probiotic drink as a daily mission bonus. But today, something different happened—a single sheet of paper fluttered down.

“What’s this?”

Kachua caught it: a dungeon flyer. 

But the flyer was supposed to be in her coin purse. Panicking, Kachua opened her purse, only to find the flyer missing.

“Why? …Oh, the distribution date is different.”

Upon closer inspection, the small print at the corner showed a different date. The flyer was valid for one week from today and seemed to be distributed once a week. Although the content looked similar, the herb gathering points on “Herb Day” had changed since last time.

Kachua had gotten the latest flyer!

Today’s team was a regular party of five men and women who had requested her before.

“Nice to meet you again.”

“Good to see you too.”

They exchanged greetings and entered the dungeon as usual.

This party was once ranked among the top five in the Adventurers’ Guild, but now they focused on safer explorations since getting married and having kids.

Despite their seemingly easygoing appearance, this team was skilled at maximizing efficiency and knew how to grab high-value items from the lower floors.

Upon reaching the fourth floor via the shortest route, Kachua usually received the signal, “You can head back now, Kachua.”

But today, they asked, “Kachua, we’ll pay you extra, so could you stay with us a bit longer?”

“Sure, I don’t mind, but…”

Kachua had arrangements with a fellow mom from the same daycare to pick up Barbara if she didn’t make it back in time, so she was covered. But her regulars understood her circumstances and rarely made such requests before.

“This is unusual,” she concluded.

“Sorry about that. But today, rare monsters keep appearing, and we want to explore a bit more.”

“Now that you mention it, there are quite a few meat monsters today.”

Some monsters were edible, and among them, some monsters were either delicious or not. Today, they kept encountering the tasty ones.

And then Kachua realized something.

It’s Friday.

According to the dungeon flyer, Fridays were Meat Day. It was a day when delicious meat monsters appeared, and their drop rates significantly increased!

Eventually, they encountered a Marbled Mo-Mo, an exceptionally delicious meat monster, on the fifth floor.

After exiting the dungeon, selling the dropped items at the tool shop was usually Kachua’s job.

“Since we made you stay overtime today, we’ll handle the rest.”

Thanks to that, Kachua got home around her usual time. She even received bonus pay and three slices of the Marbled Mo-Mo’s sirloin.

“Tonight’s steak night!”

Kachua was delighted.

“Phew… I’m beat.”

On the 14th, Kachua wasn’t working as a porter but ventured into the dungeon alone.

Since it was a day ending in 4, it was Herb Day. According to the flyer, the gathering points this week were on the first floor.

I can do this alone… she thought.

From her last solo venture on the 7th, Kachua learned that she was quite fast on her feet. Plus, her timid nature acted like a built-in sensor, making her highly alert to enemies’ locations. On the first floor, she could usually avoid most monsters.

She planned to utilize this trait to gather herbs without fighting.

“Oh, a Dororon.”

Inside the dungeon, she spotted a rare monster, Dororon, which resembled a catfish living in mud and was said to be delicious.

The Dororon hadn’t noticed Kachua!

“Could I maybe defeat it?”

Quietly, she approached and defeated Dororon.

Dororon, acquired!

On her way back after gathering herbs…

“Oh, a Skyfish.”

Skyfish, as the name implies, was a rare fish monster that swam through the air and was also said to be delicious.

The Skyfish hadn’t noticed Kachua and was floating leisurely!

“Gotcha!”

Skyfish, acquired!

Thanks to her good luck, Kachua managed to defeat both without retaliation. Selling Dororon, Skyfish, and a bundle of Green Mushrooms—typically found on higher floors—netted her 60,000 gold at the tool shop.

“Wow, what a steal!”

Ecstatic, Kachua looked at the flyer and thought, If I go to higher floors, I can find even rarer herbs, fish, and meat… Should I take on the challenge?
