It's still ongoing with currently only 30+ chapters. The story is very lightweight. The combat isn't too detailed, but it is still enjoyable to immerse in after a stressful day of work. “It’s huge…”

Beside the breathless Og, Bernhardt remained calm.

“Boy, I’m counting on you here.”

Og and Bernhardt were acting as shields for the four villagers, protecting them from the Horn Rabbits’ attacks.

“Eh, Bernhardt-san?”

“I’ll take that one down.”

Bernhardt said this while glaring at the Great Horn Rabbit.

“Hah!”

With a shout of spirit, Bernhardt dashed forward and leapt into the air.

Soaring high, he twisted his body midair and drove a kick straight into the Great Horn Rabbit’s neck.

With a thunderous crash, the Great Horn Rabbit collapsed.

“In just one hit…?”

Even the《Horn Rabbits》seemed to realize they were at a disadvantage after seeing that. Without a glance back, they bolted.

“Are you two okay?”

It was just then that the carriage carrying Kachua and the others caught up.

“Boy.”

Bernhardt slowly turned to face Og.

“Y-yes?”

“Why do you wear those bandages?”

“That’s…” Og hesitated.

The bandages were to hide the skin covered in wolf fur.

He was often teased because of them.

But that was still better than the real fear — the scornful, fearful looks from humans who had seen a werewolf.

“Um, about Og-kun…”

Kachua began to speak in his place, but—

“That cloth is limiting your movements” Bernhardt pointed out.

Bernhardt stepped forward with a solid stance.

He wore short leggings, but they only covered about half of his sturdy thighs.

He had short boots on, yet much of his skin was exposed.

With his bare legs revealed, Bernhardt said, “Feel the wind with your thighs. Wrapping them in bandages will only slow you down.”

“With the thighs!?”

Kachua was shocked.

Ann spoke to the stunned Og.

“Thighs aside, he’s right about the bandages being in the way.”

“Yes…”

Og had felt the same.

But without the bandages, his identity as a werewolf would be exposed.

“What… should I do?”

Ann slowly shook her head.

“He just pointed out your weakness, Og. You don’t have to decide anything right away, and you don’t have to carry it all alone. Think carefully about what you want to do. That’s what we, your companions, are here for”

“Yes…”

Laura healed the villagers’ injuries and the Gamma Team once again boarded the carriage, heading toward the Garfa estate.

The villagers were safe, and as thanks, the Gamma Team was given the meat dropped from the Great Horn Rabbit.

Although they were now running a little behind schedule, saving lives came first.

As expected, the Garfa estate they arrived at was an impressive mansion.

There was even a fountain in the garden!

“Wow…”

『Amazing』they said in awe as they got out of the carriage and entered the residence.

Inside was just as splendid — a home gleaming like a palace.

“Welcome, and thank you for coming.”

A line of servants stood to greet them, a wealthy person’s way of saying, Our household welcomes you with open arms.

And despite surely being busy, the master himself, Rupert Garfa, came forward to greet Kachua and the others.

“May I have you meet my daughter right away?”

“Y-yes.”

Guided by Garfa, Kachua and her group proceeded deeper inside and were shown into the Garfa family’s private dining room.

For ordinary folk, there was no such distinction a household would have just one dining room but for nobles and the wealthy, their vast homes often had multiple rooms for meals.

Among them, a『private』dining room held special meaning.

For people who guarded their personal lives closely, inviting someone into a private space was a message — that the guest was an important person with whom they wished to speak openly.

Additionally, while the presence of children at a formal luncheon would normally be considered bad manners, it was permissible in a private dining gathering.

In the dining room, there were already guests eagerly awaiting Kachua and her group.

A man in his twenties who resembled Garfa, several men wearing masks and cloaks despite being indoors, and ten women — at the sight of them, Kachua caught her breath.

At the center of the ten women was a lady in an elegant dress, looking every bit the refined daughter of a noble house.

Surrounding her were women in matching dresses, likely her maids, and a dignified female knight clad smartly in a knight’s uniform.

Their ages and social standings varied.

However—

Though the central lady’s face was hidden beneath a heavy veil, making it impossible to see her features, the other nine women all had ears and facial shapes transformed to resemble those of wolves. Looking closely, some even had tails.

They were likely the ten women who had been attacked by wolf beastmen and turned into werewolves.

While Kachua couldn’t help but focus on the group of werewolf women, the first person Galfa introduced was a man in his twenties, impeccably dressed in formal attire.

“This is my son, Gilbert.”

“Gilbert” the man said, bowing his head.

He had the poised, polished air of an elite merchant, a quality he clearly inherited from his father.

“This is my daughter, Minerva.”

Next, Galfa introduced the lady in the dress.

She slowly removed her veil.

Revealed beneath were wolf ears and a face.

Not as far gone as Og, but more transformed than Nadja, her lupine features were prominent.

A light coat of animal fur covered her entire face.

“I am Minerva.”

When she greeted them, her mouth revealed prominent canine teeth.

“These are the ten women who were attacked by wolf beastmen. Thanks to all of you, we have gathered the necessary ingredients and can now make the potion. We are deeply grateful for your kindness.”

With that, Garfa, his son Gilbert, the ten women and even their guards all bowed deeply to Kachua and the others.

Normally, when welcoming a member of the royal family, there would be an endless string of troublesome formalities but since Bernhardt was traveling incognito, the greetings ended there.

“Then, let us dine. Please, bring the children along as well” Garfa said, inviting the two of them too.

Kachua, worried that the children might be frightened or accidentally say something that could hurt the women, was on strict standby, ready to cover their mouths at a moment’s notice. But both of them seemed far less unsettled than she was.

Later, she learned that Ed had seen many illustrations of beastfolk in magical books, so seeing Minerva and the others did not surprise him.

As for Barbara, her reaction was simply:『Fangs! Cool』.

“Thank you very much” Ed said, giving a short, formal knight’s salute — where he had learned it, no one knew — before expressing his thanks. Barbara, standing beside him, raised her hand cheerfully and said,

“Maasu!”

The atmosphere instantly brightened.

The group was about to move to the table for the meal when—

“Before that, may I have a moment?”

It was Minerva who spoke up.
