“But you’ll be in danger.” Zeng Xianqing hesitated. “Besides, I don’t know how to fix it.”
“I’ll tell you how.” Bai Qiuye tucked her hair behind her ear and said with rare confidence, “And I’m not bragging, but Zhong Xuan can’t outrun me.”
In terms of escaping level, she estimated that she was level 60.
Zeng Xianqing was speechless.
Bai Qiuye pointed at the centre of the Eight Trigrams Formation and continued, “Do you see that bell? When I lure Zhong Xuan to the second floor, ring the bell immediately, not even a second late. After that, you must not stop until I tell you to stop.”
Bai Qiuye took out a few talismans and gave them to Zeng Xianqing. “If you encounter zombies on the way, throw these at them.”
After listening to Bai Qiuye’s arrangements, Zeng Xianqing took the talismans and immediately went downstairs.
Halfway down, she suddenly had a question.
Was Bai Qiuye really the level 1 that had been reported by the entire server?
Or rather, was Bai Qiuye really only at Level 1?
What shocked her was that even though Bai Qiuye already knew that she was a level 1 noob, she still instinctively obeyed her.
Zeng Xianqing recalled the first time she met Bai Qiuye in the copy.
She looked like a timid level 26 player who was lucky enough to team up with a big shot.
But at the moment of true crisis, Bai Qiuye displayed her ability to control the situation.
No wonder Li Gushu protected her the whole time … She probably has some secrets.
Zeng Xianqing took a deep breath and stuck the talismans on the zombies coming at her, then rushed toward the patio.
On the fifth floor, Bai Qiuye stood by the flower bed and watched the patio.
She saw that Zeng Xianqing had already stepped into the Eight Trigrams Formation.
Bai Qiuye looked up at the hole above her head and made a microphone gesture with one hand. “Zhong Xuan, come find me.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard heavy footsteps running in her direction.
Bai Qiuye’s body moved and began to run downstairs.
Before she could run a few steps, a figure jumped down from the hole and knelt on one knee in the corridor. His red eyes stared at her as he slowly stood up.
Zhong Xuan’s clothes were half open. Black veins were wriggling on his pale muscles.
He opened his mouth, as if he was adapting to the pronunciation in this state.
“Bai Qiuye.”
“Congratulations on finding me.” Bai Qiuye’s heart raced as adrenaline shot through her veins. She didn’t even look back as she sprinted towards the first floor.
Zhong Xuan was like a ferocious beast that had lost its shackles as he charged towards Bai Qiuye.
With every step he took, the floor beneath his feet cracked an inch.
His body seemed to have turned into hard stone, emitting a violent sound.
Bai Qiuye practically leaped over five steps, running and jumping all the way to the third floor.
Zhong Xuan had been following closely behind her, and the distance between them was only a few metres.
Bai Qiuye heard Hei Chunhua and Li Gushu’s questioning voices coming from upstairs.
But she didn’t have time to answer. She ran as fast as she could with Zhong Xuan through corridor after corridor.
Suddenly, the crisp sound of a bell rang.
The bell in the Eight Trigrams Formation was rung by Zeng Xianqing.
Zhong Xuan’s footsteps seemed to be entangled by invisible chains, and he actually stopped.
His eyes were fixed on Bai Qiuye, but his body was attracted by the powerful force.
Zhong Xuan flipped over the wall of the corridor in an awkward position, and like a meteor falling from the sky, he crashed into the Eight Trigrams Formation in the patio.
The black talisman paper that was being pulled by ropes was wrapped around his body.
The moment he fell into the Eight Trigrams Formation, the ghost baby attached to his body let out a sharp shriek.
Bai Qiuye sighed in relief, and stopped to rub her knees.
Nothing else will happen, right?
Probably.
Zhong Xuan was lying on the ground, like a fish rolling in a pot of oil, his expression was pained, and he used his hands to cover his ears.
A strange pull appeared on the surface of his body, the black veins on his body were like binding ropes, forcing him to open his mouth and take deep breaths.
He seemed to say something, and Zeng Xianqing’s expression became more and more strange.
Suddenly, her hand paused.
The sound of the bell stopped abruptly.
Zhong Xuan seemed to have regained his life, one hand grabbed Zeng Xianqing’s neck, and lifted her up high.
He tilted his head, looking at the second floor.
Bai Qiuye was standing in the shadows, looking down at him.
“Is this your killing move, I really didn’t guess.” Zhong Xuan asked.
“You will never guess my killing move.” Bai Qiuye said, “Because every step I take is one.”
The ghost baby suddenly started crying.
