After Transmigrating into a Professional Bootlicker, I Messed Up - Chapter 75.2
Only then did Lin Luo remember the designs he’d shown her. At the time, she’d assumed they were for a magazine shoot, but in hindsight, it made sense—it was a little too extravagant for a magazine to afford those materials.
“And why are you trying to lose weight? You hardly have any meat on you to begin with.” Ji Chi’an pinched her waist with mild disapproval.
Lin Luo pouted. “But you didn’t tell me anything; it feels like you don’t respect me, you know?”
Ji Chi’an ruffled her hair, shamelessly insisting, “I just wanted to surprise you.”
Lin Luo, ever the sweet one, let it slide, knowing that when he said “surprise,” he meant it. She only asked, “So when’s the wedding?”
“Next month, in April. The weather will be perfect—cool enough for you to dress beautifully without being cold.”
Plus, April was the month she’d first come into this world.
Nestling against his chest, she nodded. “April sounds good. I start my long vacation this month anyway.”
“Where are you planning to go this time?”
Lin Luo blushed slightly. “I don’t want to travel. I have… something important to take care of.”
Ji Chi’an raised an eyebrow. “Something important? During a vacation?”
Clearing her throat, Lin Luo mumbled, “Ji Chi’an, you’re thirty-two now.”
“So?” He looked at her, still puzzled.
“So…” Her cheeks flushed deeper. “So, maybe… it’s time for you to start preparing to be a dad.”
Ji Chi’an froze, then placed a hand on her stomach, his eyebrow raised. “The last time was right before your trip to France—two months ago. I remember we used protection.”
“Oh, stop it!” Lin Luo slapped his hand away. “I’m not pregnant yet!”
“Oh.” Ji Chi’an drew out the sound and promptly lifted her in his arms, heading straight for the bedroom.
Lin Luo wrapped her arms around his neck, startled. “Ji Chi’an, what are you doing?”
“Handling important business.”
“Ji Chi’an, it’s daytime! Can you please act like a decent person?”
“I’m being exactly that—a decent person.”
…
When Ji Chi’an said the wedding would be held at night, Lin Luo didn’t quite understand. But as the wedding car took her to the venue, she finally saw why.
It was one of those rare clear nights in the capital, with stars sparkling in the deep blue sky. The newly-built park was aglow with twinkling lights, and rows of silver lanterns illuminated the vibrant Julia roses, making them appear both beautiful and tender. The castle lighting alternated, creating one fairy-tale scene after another, while magnificent fireworks continuously exploded overhead, filling the night with a dazzling, lively display.
It was a perfect, vibrant night.
Stepping out of the wedding car, Lin Luo saw an elegant red carpet stretching beneath her feet, leading through a series of floral arches and straight to the center of the flower-adorned stage. There, standing tall in a tailored suit, was Ji Chi’an. The lights behind him couldn’t compare to his brilliance. He wore a faint smile, watching her approach. Even after five or six years together, her heart skipped a beat just looking at him.
Ji Chi’an, too, was mesmerized, watching her walk toward him with awe in his eyes. No matter how many years passed, she would always be his most beautiful princess.
Dressed in a luxurious white gown, every detail accentuated her graceful figure. The handmade embroidery sparkled with tiny diamonds, and as she moved, her train shimmered, like she was walking through a sea of stars—or perhaps she was the stars themselves, too dazzling to behold.
Lined along the path were the country’s elite from the business and media worlds, standing on either side, their eyes filled with admiration and blessings. Though she walked alone, Lin Luo never felt lonely.
She was surrounded by wonderful friends and colleagues, all watching her journey toward the man who would give her the world. They believed, wholeheartedly, that she was the happiest girl alive, enviable in ways others could only dream of.
After all, not every husband would build a grand castle in a prime part of the capital and create an entire amusement park, just to host a wedding for the woman he loved.
Ji Chi’an had spent five years preparing all of this. He’d once told her that he’d give her the amusement park and fairy-tale kingdom her father hadn’t had the time to. He wanted her to experience a life with no regrets, restoring the love she’d lost, letting her live as the most carefree princess in the world.
When the wedding ring, meticulously designed by Ji Chi’an himself, slipped onto their fingers, the audience erupted in heartfelt applause and congratulations.
The king had finally married his princess and gifted her a kingdom—it was a fairy tale come to life.
Behind them, their shadows were cast onto the castle walls, locked in an endless, tender embrace and kiss as fireworks illuminated the sky. Lin Luo leaned into Ji Chi’an’s arms, gazing up at him with starlit eyes, as if he was the only thing in her world.
“Ji Chi’an.”
“Hmm?”
“I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
We’ll live to be a hundred together, and keep loving each other, forever and ever.
Thank you for giving me my fairy-tale world.

Ji Chi’an’s grand gestures capture the Chinese value of 面子 (miànzi), or “face.” He’s showing not only his deep love for Lin Luo but also his ability to provide for her extravagantly. In Chinese culture, this public display of love can be a way of giving “face” or honor to loved ones! ✧(◕‿◕)✧
Did you know Julia roses, seen here at their wedding, are popular in Chinese weddings? Their warm orange color symbolizes romance and passion. Ji Chi’an covered the venue in them, making sure every flower mirrored their love. (✿◠‿◠)
Lin Luo’s excitement over starting a family shows her secure attachment. She has faith in Ji Chi’an and feels ready to take on life’s next chapter together. This level of trust is a relationship goal IRL, too!
The “kingdom for a princess” idea? In China, castles are rare, so Ji Chi’an building one in the city center is the ultimate fairy tale! And reserving such a prime spot in the capital shows how dedicated he is to making her dream come true. 💍💫
