After Transmigrating into a Professional Bootlicker, I Messed Up - Chapter 74.1
Lin Luo drifted for who knows how long until she found herself in a strange place. It was cold and high-tech-looking, filled with complex instrument panels and transparent windows. Through the windows, she could see the vastness of space. Standing in front of the window was a tall figure in a military uniform, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long, strong legs. Lin Luo felt a strange familiarity, yet he seemed distant—powerful and unapproachable, almost more than human.
Curious, she tried to move closer to see his face, but every time she shifted, the view shifted with her, blocking his face. After several unsuccessful attempts, she gave up, huffing with frustration, and decided to quietly wait in the corner.
As she waited, a familiar voice spoke, “Reporting to Master, Zero’s ship encountered a disturbance while crossing the galaxy, and her life signs have vanished.”
It was the System’s voice.
Lin Luo’s heart skipped a beat.
The man at the window responded calmly, “Did you retrieve her?”
“Emergency rescue has recovered her.”
“Good. Gather her consciousness and DNA profile.”
“Master, what do you plan to do?”
“She wanted to return home, didn’t she? I’ll send her back and return everything she lost in this life.” His voice was steady, neither happy nor sad.
The scene shifted, showing the man standing in a massive database, engrossed in calculations. His once-rigid stance now seemed slightly weary.
The System’s voice echoed again, “Master, the energy expenditure is too great.”
“It’s alright; the world has already been created.”
“What kind of world did you create?”
“A world where she’ll have everything she ever wanted.” His voice was still flat, devoid of emotion, as he pressed the final button, saying softly, “It’s done.”
“Master, how can I assist you?”
“When I go into stasis, bring my consciousness to Earth. Stay with her, care for her, and ensure she lives a safe, happy life. If anything goes wrong, use your abilities to fix it. If the world collapses, I will never awaken again.”
“Understood, Master.”
“Once I enter stasis, I may never wake up. She is in your hands.”
“Understood, Master.”
The man finally exhaled, as if a weight had lifted. He turned around, and Lin Luo finally saw his face—both familiar and completely foreign.
He walked slowly toward a sleep pod, opened the door, stepped inside, and closed his eyes. His long eyelashes cast a gentle shadow, exuding a sense of resolute tenderness.
As the pod door closed, an alarm blared, followed by a flurry of activity. A crowd rushed in, frantically pressing buttons and trying to halt the database. Lin Luo, as an incorporeal spirit, was somehow shoved out by these strange creatures, spiraling out of control and losing herself in the vast pull of a cosmic black hole.
Then, a familiar mechanical voice called her name, “Lin Luo.” The voice pulled her back to stability, and she found herself surrounded by a pure, white light.
Tentatively, she called out, “System?”
After a moment of hesitation, the voice replied, “Yes.”
“Lin Luo, have you remembered everything from your dreams?”
“Yes, I remember.”
“Do you have anything to say?”
“When can I go back? How long has it been in Ji Chi’an’s world? Have I disappeared? Was he worried about me?”

The devotion we see here is deep-rooted in the concept of sacrifice, especially common in Chinese romance and mythology. (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ
Did you know? In sci-fi, a “sleep pod” is actually based on real-life ideas for interstellar travel. Researchers think suspended animation might be one way to let astronauts survive super-long journeys. Lin Luo’s guy here? Literally ahead of his time in more ways than one! ✧(^-^)✧
Lin Luo’s attachment to her old life and her urgency to “get back” show how deeply she feels responsibility and love toward Ji Chi’an. It’s a classic case of emotional anchoring—she’s rooted herself so much in one world, she’s terrified of losing it.
That massive database? In sci-fi terms, it’s almost like an artificial paradise creation. It’s as if he designed a whole new universe just to make sure she could be happy. Now that’s what we call world-building with love!
If you were Lin Luo, what would be your “dream world” designed by someone who loves you? Let’s share some dream scenarios! (⁀ᗢ⁀)
