- Chapter 20 - The Kind-Hearted Person Who Pays the Bill
“You are… I’m Si Nian. Do you need help?” Si Nian took a step closer to Ruan Meng with a frown because of Mo Yuting’s strange behavior.
Ruan Meng glanced at the clear-headed Si Nian and nodded readily, then handed the seemingly bursting Ruan An An to him.
“Uncle, thank you for your help!” Ruan An An really couldn’t hold it any longer. He grabbed Si Nian and dashed toward the restroom.
Ruan Meng still remembered Mo Yuting’s earlier comment about “unfounded,” so she continued to ignore his presence, as did the fierce Ruan Le Le.
When Si Nian emerged with Ruan An An, an inexplicable chill ran down his spine. “The service in this restaurant has declined. How can they keep it so cold? Don’t they know there are many children?”
“Mommy.” Ruan An An was unbothered and stole a few glances at Mo Yuting but didn’t say anything about what he wanted, so Ruan Meng pretended not to see.
She nodded at Si Nian, who had helped her, without glancing at Mo Yuting, and headed back to their table with the two children.
“Why does it seem like Daddy doesn’t recognize us?” Ruan Le Le pouted unhappily. She pretended to be indifferent but was clearly affected.
“He’s like your grandparents. He hasn’t met you before.”
While explaining the Ruan family situation to Ruan An An and Ruan Le Le, Ruan Meng also talked about the situation of her fiancé Mo Yuting, which made the sensitive and extremely eager for fatherly love children excitedly call him “Daddy” when they first saw him.
Even though the system didn’t tell her who the biological father was, Ruan Meng had already accepted Mo Yuting as her fiancé, so calling him “Daddy” felt completely fine to her.
“Let’s eat well. I’ll take you to play this afternoon.” Seeing that the children were focused on Mo Yuting, Ruan Meng casually changed the subject.
“Mommy, can we go to the zoo?”
Looking at Ruan An An’s expectant eyes and glancing down at her high heels, Ruan Meng casually nodded. “Sure.”
After the two little ones finished their meal, filled with thoughts of little animals, Ruan Meng was informed that their bill had already been taken care of.
“Okay, I understand.”
Ruan Meng’s indifferent look of showing no concern for who had paid the bill left the restaurant manager speechless for a moment.
After a moment, he instinctively glanced toward a corner, then gathered his courage and said with a vague look, “Ma’am, that…”
“What? Do you have something else?” Ruan Meng’s seemingly light gaze pierced through him.
“No, I’m fine. Please take care.”
Once Ruan Meng left the restaurant with her dragon and phoenix twins, Si Nian immediately came out from the corner. “Look at you!”
“Sorry, Master Si, it’s just that lady’s aura is so strong. It gave me the impression of seeing a class teacher.” The restaurant manager gave an awkward smile.
“Class teacher? Hahaha!” Si Nian patted the manager on the shoulder and returned to the private room to report to the ‘kind-hearted person who paid the bill’.
“Where have you been?” Instead of the ‘kind-hearted person’, the first to speak was a handsome man with a scar at the corner of his eye—his good friend Lin Yuan.
“I went to pay the bill for ‘his children’ on behalf of Boss Ting, but they didn’t care at all.” Si Nian vividly described what had just happened, even causing the fierce Lin Yuan to raise an eyebrow in surprise.
However, he was more careful than the Silly Deer Si Nian. He knew that Mo Yuting wouldn’t have any illegitimate children. “Do you want me to investigate that woman?”
