- Chapter 66 - Saint Master Bottle
“Wu Li, this is your Senior Brother and your Second Senior Sister. Counting you, I only have three disciples, so don’t let me down.”
Soon, Chen Ping’an brought Wu Li to Free and Unfettered Peak. Although it was called a peak, its size surpassed Wu Li’s imagination, rivaling his own home. Upon arriving at Free and Unfettered Peak, Chen Ping’an introduced Wu Li to his Senior Brother and Second Senior Sister, who were Cai Tiankun and Nangong Ya. They were quite a bit older than Wu Li, both being several hundred years old and at a high level of cultivation, having reached the Saint Realm.
“Hello, Little Junior Brother! You must work hard in your training, or Master will kick you out,” teased Nangong Ya, her purple hair catching the eye. It was clear she noticed Wu Li was still just at the Golden Core stage. While that was quite respectable for an average person, it would only invite ridicule if one claimed to be a disciple of Chen Ping’an with such a low level of cultivation.
Hearing this, Wu Li solemnly nodded and returned the greeting, “I will train hard, Second Senior Sister.”
“Ahem, alright, it’s getting late. You two take Wu Li to find a Sub-Peak to settle in first. Wu Li, if you have any training questions, you can ask your Senior Brother and Second Senior Sister. If they can’t solve them, you can come to me,” Chen Ping’an said, clearing his throat and looking at Cai Tiankun and Nangong Ya.
Upon hearing their Master’s words, Cai Tiankun and Nangong Ya nodded and then turned to Wu Li, leading him away from the main peak.
“I wonder what benefits there are for me in taking on this disciple. I have an indescribable feeling that bringing him in as a disciple will definitely yield unimaginable benefits,” Chen Ping’an thought to himself, watching as Cai Tiankun and Nangong Ya settled Wu Li into a Sub-Peak.
In fact, Chen Ping’an’s rapid breakthrough to the peak of Quasi-Emperor was partly due to his terrifying talent, but also because he had a strong belief in his instincts. It was precisely his intuition that had saved him multiple times and brought him immense opportunities.
After pondering for a moment, Chen Ping’an decided not to dwell on it and turned back to continue his training. He had already been at the peak of Quasi-Emperor for fifty thousand years, yet he had no confidence about breaking through to Great Emperor, not knowing when he would achieve that.
“Thank you, Senior Brother and Second Senior Sister,” Wu Li said after leaving the main peak.
“Little Junior Brother, feel free to choose any Sub-Peak you like. However, you can’t choose those two; they are the dojos of me and your Senior Brother,” Nangong Ya added.
Nangong Ya looked towards the two other mountains with barriers, while Wu Li nodded, his gaze scanning the territory of Free and Unfettered Peak. Soon, his eyes brightened as he pointed to a peak not far away and said without hesitation, “Second Senior Sister, I choose that peak.”
“Have you made up your mind?” Nangong Ya asked for confirmation.
Wu Li was curious. “If I decide, can’t I change it later?”
“Well, not really. It’s just that we will only take you there once; after that, you’ll have to move by yourself since Free and Unfettered Peak is known for having few disciples, and there’s hardly anyone living here,” Nangong Ya shrugged, appearing helpless.
Wu Li was speechless but still nodded. “It’s fine; I’ll go with that one.”
For some reason, Wu Li felt a strange connection to that peak.
Nangong Ya and Cai Tiankun led Wu Li up to the chosen mountain and then said, “Alright, Junior Brother, the rest is up to you. Your Senior Brother and I will be living over there. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us. Oh, your Senior Brother specializes in swordsmanship, while I specialize in spear techniques.”
Hearing this, Wu Li’s eyes lit up. Since he practiced swordsmanship as well, it seemed he could spar and ask his Senior Brother for advice in the future.
After finishing everything, Cai Tiankun and Nangong Ya planned to leave but took out their mobile phones first to add Wu Li to a group chat, saying that even cultivating immortality now required a scientific approach, and they could be contacted easily if he had any questions.
This was also Wu Li’s first time experiencing the significant influence of his family’s business throughout the Xuantian Realm.
Once his Senior Brother and Second Senior Sister left, Wu Li tidied up the belongings on the peak and then planned to rest. There weren’t many things on the peak, just a residence; everything else needed to be arranged by the disciples themselves.
Although Wu Li understood some formations and similar matters, he wasn’t an expert, so he planned to wait until tomorrow for his Master to help him set things up.
However, just as Wu Li was about to rest, he felt something and squinted his eyes toward the distance.
In a daze, it seemed to Wu Li that he caught a glimpse of a green light flash by, but when he looked towards that direction again, the green light had vanished.
“Was that just an illusion?” Wu Li thought hesitantly, but quickly shook his head. Whether it was real or not, he could find out by checking it out; it wouldn’t slow him down either way.
Soon, Wu Li began searching in the direction of the green light he had just seen. Upon arriving at that spot, he was drawn to something on the ground—a little bottle that was partially exposed.
The little bottle was covered with green patterns and was emanating a faint green glow.
“What is this?”
The moment Wu Li saw the little bottle, he felt that it was certainly no ordinary item. With that thought in mind, he stepped forward and dug it out, holding it in his hand.
Just as Wu Li obtained the Little Green Bottle, on the other side, Wu Hao, who had just finished comforting Su Qiaoran and was resting, received a notification from the system.
[Beep, congratulations Host descendant Wu Li has obtained the Saint Master Bottle, and has reported back one million Saint Master Bottles. Would the Host like to synthesize?]
“Oh, he found his Life-bound Immortal Artifact so quickly? Staying in the Wu Family will only delay the growth of the Child of Destiny.”
Wu Hao thought in surprise.
But he quickly nodded and pressed to synthesize, as a mere Saint Master Bottle wasn’t very useful to him. Even if he synthesized it, he would have a terrifying quantity of ten thousand.
[Beep, synthesis of one hundred thousand Saint Master Bottles successful. Congratulations, Host has obtained ten thousand Dao Master Bottles!]
[Dao Master Bottle: Can absorb the power of myriad pathways for personal use, but requires contact with the power of the myriad pathways.]
After seeing the description of the Dao Master Bottle, Wu Hao couldn’t help but gasp in shock. He clearly didn’t expect the Dao Master Bottle to be so formidable, capable of refining the power of myriad pathways for personal use.
In simple terms, the Dao Master Bottle could transform the great powers it came into contact with, generating corresponding great powers within it, which could be unleashed when needed through the Dao Master Bottle.
In other words, as long as the Dao Master Bottle evolves to its complete form, it will be able to unleash true great Dao power through the bottle. However, the amount of energy required for the practitioner to harness this power is also extremely daunting. Even Wu Hao in his current state does not have absolute confidence in fully unleashing the true power of the Dao Master Bottle; at the very least, he would need to reach the level of Immortal Emperor to truly wield the bottle’s power.
