Inside the Wu Commerce Association in the Southern Region, Wu Rulong was dealing with the affairs of the association. After ten years of hard work, he had successfully advanced to the Initial Stage of the Great Saint level.

After all, having only a Superior Spiritual Root, breaking through to the Initial Stage of the Great Saint within ten years was already quite an achievement.

“Ugh, this is giving me a headache.”

As Wu Rulong stretched lazily and continued with his tasks, he received a mental message from his father, Wu Hao.

“Come home quickly; your mother has returned!”

Upon receiving the news, Wu Rulong was taken aback for a moment, but soon he stood up excitedly.

“What? Mother has come back?”

After learning this news, Wu Rulong unhesitatingly abandoned his work and hurried back home.

After all, the Wu Commerce Association was merely a playground for him; if it weren’t for the lack of a successor, he would have likely given up on it long ago.

The members of the Wu Family in the Southern Region, after hearing this news, all rushed back to the Wu Family. The fact that Su Qiaoran, their grandmother, had returned was one reason, but more importantly, they hadn’t seen the mysterious Ancestor Wu Hao in a long time, and they were eager to meet the one who had brought glory to the Wu Family and learn what kind of person he truly was.

At this moment, inside the Wu Family, Wu Hao had also brought Su Qiaoran back home. The Wu Family he referred to was, of course, the one where he and Su Qiaoran lived in the deep mountains before.

Wu Rulong and the others knew this, so once they learned that Wu Hao was bringing Su Qiaoran back, they hurriedly made their way to the deep mountain Wu Family.

When Wu Rulong finally returned home, he saw Wu Hao and Su Qiaoran sitting in a swing chair hanging from a large tree in the yard, both with nostalgic expressions, reminiscing about the days when they lived there.

“Dear husband, do you remember how you pursued me back then?”

“Of course I remember. I had originally planned to settle around here, but little did I know that I would find you lying unconscious in a nearby river, and I brought you back.”

Wu Hao recalled the past as a smile crept onto his lips. He clearly remembered coming to this mountain to settle down after realizing his ordinary talents; his goal was simply that peace is a blessing. But one day, while he was out, he encountered Su Qiaoran drifting in the river.

Without hesitation, Wu Hao saved her and brought her home to care for her. With his skillful words and charming demeanor, he successfully won her heart.

Su Qiaoran obviously recalled something, and her face involuntarily flushed a little. Then, she lightly punched Wu Hao’s arm and said, “Look at you! At first, I thought you were a good person, but I didn’t expect that your intention behind saving me was not pure.”

“Heh heh, if I didn’t have ulterior motives, how could I end up with the best wife in the entire Xuantian Realm?” Wu Hao shamelessly chimed in, causing Su Qiaoran to blush again. It’s unclear why Su Qiaoran was blushing so often.

In any case, at that moment, Wu Rulong could no longer hold back and cleared his throat, saying, “Father.”

Only then did Wu Hao and Su Qiaoran realize, and Su Qiaoran’s expression turned serious, though her gaze remained filled with grievance as she looked at Wu Hao. It was as if she were silently blaming him for making her look bad in front of their child.

Once both of them had calmed down, Wu Rulong finally approached his father and Su Qiaoran along with Wu Qiankun and the others. Looking at Su Qiaoran sitting beside his father, Wu Rulong felt a mix of complex emotions.

Wu Rulong harbored resentment towards Su Qiaoran, as she had deprived him of a mother’s love throughout his childhood. Even though he understood that she left out of fear of being hunted down by enemies, his bitterness still lingered, albeit slightly diminished.

He had initially prepared himself not to forgive Su Qiaoran during this meeting, but upon seeing her, he found that he simply couldn’t bring himself to hate his mother. His eyes began to well up with tears as he looked at Su Qiaoran and spoke with a slightly choked voice, “Mother.”

“Rulong, you’ve suffered all these years,” Su Qiaoran replied, her eyes also shimmering with tears as she stood up and embraced Wu Rulong.

Wu Rulong couldn’t help but sob, and as time went on, he eventually cried out loud. Who could understand his pain? All Wu Hao ever wanted was for him to cultivate; he longed for a mother’s love too.

After crying in his mother’s embrace for a while, Wu Rulong finally came to his senses, wiped his tears, and asked, “So, are you going to stay this time, or are you leaving again?”

“I’m not leaving, not this time. Everything is settled, and it’s time for me to stay at home and look after my children,” Su Qiaoran said, her face filled with love, which made Wu Rulong’s heart tremble. Could this truly be the legendary motherly love?

However, before Wu Rulong could say anything more, an unusual phenomenon suddenly appeared in the distant Sunset City, but it was swiftly suppressed by Wu Hao.

So only Wu Rulong and the others saw it.

“Husband, what’s going on?”

Su Qiaoran’s expression turned serious as she looked at Wu Hao, her eyes filled with curiosity.

Wu Hao replied with a hint of a smile in his voice.

“It’s nothing much, just that you have a Great Grandson born, that’s all; the commotion was a bit loud.”

Wu Rulong suddenly recalled something and spoke up.

“Right, today is the day when Wangu’s wife is giving birth.”

Upon hearing this, Su Qiaoran’s face lit up with joy; if she couldn’t carry her grandson, then let her at least take care of her Great Grandson.

Thinking of this, Su Qiaoran turned to Wu Hao and said,

“Husband, let’s go back. I want to see what my Great Grandson is like.”

“Mm.”

Wu Hao naturally had that plan as well, waving his hand as he led Wu Rulong and the others back to the Wu Family.

At that moment in the Wu Family, Wu Qiankun and the others had already gathered together. They were all aware of Wu Hao’s return and knew that Wangu’s child was about to be born, so they intended to come and see what kind of character their nephew was.

“Father, Grandfather!”

Seeing Wu Rulong and Wu Hao enter, Wu Qiankun and the others quickly stood up, their tones filled with deep respect.

After they spoke, Wu Qiankun noticed Su Qiaoran standing beside Wu Hao and quickly guessed her identity, hurrying over to greet her.

“Grandma.”

Hearing Wu Qiankun and the others call her “Grandma,” Su Qiaoran couldn’t help but feel a wave of disbelief; after all, she was still under a hundred years old. Was she really a grandmother, or even a great-grandmother, so soon?

For ordinary people, this age might seem reasonable, but she was a cultivator, a peak Great Saint.

However, Su Qiaoran soon accepted the fact that these few in front of her were her grandchildren, especially since she had encountered her Great Grandson in the Magnificent Secret Realm not long ago.

“Um, you must be Qiankun, Xuanyuan, Wangu, and Qinlong, right?”

Except for Wu Wandao, who went to the other four regions, and Wu Tiankun, Wu Qiantian, and Wu Xueying, all the third-generation members of the Wu Family gathered here.

As for the fourth generation, Wu Yifan was currently being hunted down, while Wu Yidao had extraordinary talent and entered a top-tier force to learn from a master.
