Chapter 473: The Demonic Cultivator’s Shock, the Demonic Cultivator’s Fall

“Cough, cough, cough… How is this possible!”

The Demonic Cultivator was suppressed in the pit, his face full of disbelief. He was at Tribulation Peak, standing at the very summit of the entire Great Wilderness Realm, just one step away from crossing the Tribulation and ascending to the Upper Realm.

And now, he was utterly defenseless, completely suppressed.

So how strong was the person who struck him? Could it be that they didn’t even belong to the Great Wilderness Realm?

Seeing the Demonic Cultivator subdued, Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun finally breathed a sigh of relief. They hurriedly turned to Qin Shaolong to express their gratitude: “Thank you so much for stepping in, Senior Qin.”

“No trouble at all. I promised your Master I would protect you. This is simply what I should do. Now, are you planning to finish him off outright or what?” Qin Shaolong waved his hand casually, his expression calm.

Hearing Qin Shaolong’s words from below in the pit, the Demonic Cultivator’s terror deepened. He had originally thought Qin Shaolong was Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun’s Master, but it turned out he wasn’t. Moreover, from Qin Shaolong’s tone, their Master was even stronger than he had imagined.

With that thought, the Demonic Cultivator yelled out desperately from the pit: “Senior, spare my life! I didn’t mean to attack these two little friends. Also, I have something very important to tell you. Please, I beg you to spare me!”

From the Demonic Cultivator’s perspective, although Qin Shaolong was very powerful, he might not know the secrets of the Great Wilderness Realm. He figured he could trade that secret for his life, or maybe even latch onto Qin Shaolong and his group for protection.

But he didn’t expect Qin Shaolong to sneer coldly the next moment and say, “Let me guess—you’re about to say that the beings in the Great Wilderness Realm will face the arrival of Upper Realm warriors who will bring annihilation in five years.”

Hearing Qin Shaolong’s words, the Demonic Cultivator’s face filled with disbelief. Obviously, he hadn’t expected Qin Shaolong to know. Just as he was about to say something, Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun respectfully clasped their fists and looked at Qin Shaolong.

“Senior Qin, do you know what the Great Catastrophe in the Great Wilderness Realm is all about?”

To Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun, it was possible Qin Shaolong knew the cause of the catastrophe. And just as they had suspected, Qin Shaolong did indeed know.

Right after the Demonic Cultivator spoke, Qin Shaolong had directly probed his memories. To a God Venerable-level cultivator, it was no challenge at all to peer into the memories of someone at the Tribulation Crossing Stage.

Not to mention a God Venerable— even if a Great Emperor wanted to probe the memories of someone at the Tribulation Crossing Stage, that person wouldn’t even notice.

After glimpsing the Demonic Cultivator’s memory, Qin Shaolong reviewed the timeline of the Great Wilderness Realm, which is how he learned the cause of the Great Catastrophe.

Now that Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun had asked, Qin Shaolong naturally wouldn’t hide it.

“The so-called Great Catastrophe is simply the sealing of the Great Wilderness Realm by three powers from the Upper Realm. Every thirty thousand years, those three factions each send down a Saint to the Great Wilderness Realm. With the aid of secret techniques, the Saint’s power can be used briefly within the Great Wilderness Realm.”

“And during this time, the Saints descending from the Upper Realm will destroy all civilizations in the Great Wilderness Realm, leaving not a single survivor.”

Qin Shaolong spoke in a calm tone, but the Demonic Cultivator crouching beneath the pit turned visibly pale—clearly, he hadn’t expected the Great Catastrophe to be caused by this.

In other words, if one cannot ascend and leave the Great Wilderness Realm within five years, three different Saints will intervene to raze everything and start over.

Thinking of this, the Demonic Cultivator immediately cried out, “Senior, please spare my life! We are all living beings of the Great Wilderness Realm, and our goal is the Upper Realm. If you spare me, I vow the Heavenly Dao Oath to serve you forever!”

As soon as the Demonic Cultivator spoke, Qin Shaolong frowned slightly. With a thought, the Demonic Cultivator instantly exploded into a mist of blood. Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun didn’t even have time to react to this sudden turn.

“Impulsive,” Qin Shaolong said with a slight frown, clearly displeased.

After eliminating the Demonic Cultivator, Qin Shaolong then looked at Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun and said, “This matter is also your Master’s way of testing you.”

Hearing Qin Shaolong’s words, Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun’s expressions both grew serious. Based on what they knew, the day of the Great Catastrophe would arrive after five years. In other words, within those five years, they had to raise their strength to a level capable of battling a Saint.

As this thought crossed their minds, Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun suddenly felt immense pressure. Yet, they reminded themselves that this was the task their Master had entrusted them with—a test from him—and they absolutely could not disappoint him.

Moreover, Zhang Tianhao had already achieved a miracle by raising his strength to rival the Nascent Soul Peak within just two months. So, creating another miracle by reaching Saint-level strength within five years was certainly not impossible!

The next moment, without hesitation, Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun spoke up in agreement.

“I understand, Senior Qin.”

But just after speaking, Cai Wankun remembered something and said somewhat regretfully,

“Senior Qin, you acted too early. If you had let me do it, my Haoran Righteousness would have surged several times over.”

As the hidden culprit behind igniting the war between the Wanfeng and Tianling Dynasties, if the Demonic Cultivator were slain by him, his Haoran Righteousness would definitely skyrocket.

Hearing this, Qin Shaolong furrowed his brows slightly, then snapped his fingers. “If that’s the case, then I’ll leave it to you to strike the killing blow.”

With Qin Shaolong’s finger snap, the blood mist that had already dissipated condensed again in the next moment, and the Demonic Cultivator’s figure reappeared from within.

After seeing Qin Shaolong revive the Demonic Cultivator, Zhang Tianhao and Cai Wankun were filled with disbelief. It was obvious they had never expected Qin Shaolong’s strength to reach such a level—he could even bring the dead back to life.

But the most bewildered was the Demonic Cultivator himself. Didn’t he remember already dying? So what was going on now? Had Senior Qin brought him back? Was he planning to show mercy and spare his life?

However, in the next moment, the Demonic Cultivator’s hope finally died.

Although he didn’t understand the situation, upon seeing the Demonic Cultivator revived, Cai Wankun wasted no time. Charging forward, he slashed the Demonic Cultivator’s head clean off with a single sword strike.

After beheading the Demonic Cultivator, Cai Wankun sensed his Haoran Righteousness surging inside him, sending ripples through his body. Under his watchful gaze, it immediately soared several times over.

This filled Cai Wankun with immense excitement. Judging by this momentum, just one more trip to the Wanfeng Dynasty would allow his Haoran Righteousness to reach a terrifying level. He might even break through to the Nascent Soul Stage soon.

Meanwhile, Zhang Tianhao, upon witnessing Qin Shaolong’s ability to revive the dead, showed hesitation on his face. Yet, after considering something, he steadied himself and looked toward Qin Shaolong, about to speak—only to be stopped by Qin first.

“I know what you’re about to say. I have already revived them all, but this will be the only time I help you. Next time, if you want to bring the dead back, it’s better for you to do it yourself.”

“Thank you, Senior Qin. I understand.”Zhang Tianhao nodded heavily and said.

What he intended to ask was whether it was possible to revive General Yu and the others. After all, General Yu had treated him very well, so if there was a chance to save them, it would be best to do so.
